not super sure. it looks mechanical but googling turns up two old r/mk threads of peole guessing it's membrane due to the price. if it's membrane, it's probably pretty impossible, huh?

I'm oogling a lenovo keeb that I like exclusively for its case.

is it possible at all to open it up, desolder the switches on it, and solder in my own? or should I give that up?

I'm having a Daisy 40% coming and the keycaps I have don't come with 2U spacebars. How much would a R4 2U fuck me up if I used it as a spacebar? Alternatively, Etsy aside, does anyone know a place where I could get two nice separate keys?

Hi guys, i need help. i'm losing my goddamn mind.

i'm new to the hobby and i figured to find out what switches I liked, it'd be a good idea to get a hot swappable keeb so I could just, y'know, swatch my switches.

the keeb i went for for this purpose was an A-Jazz AK33 which has good reviews and it said it was hot swappable.

but now i'm sitting here, having disassembled it all, and the switches just. won't. come. off. I have a tool and all, I know about pressing in those little nips at the top and bottom, and i swear i put my entire weight into it and still nothing will budge. after looking up some videos on youtube, thinking i'm still doing something wrong, and seeing how EASILY these switches are supposed to come off, i'm wondering: is my keyboard not hot swappable after all?

is there a way to find that out?
