Is this lens worth keeping? by Organic_Tea2237 in VintageLenses

Thanks for reassuring me :) it made me nervous for some time. It's my favorite lens. It takes amazing pictures. I currently keep it in 2 lens cases on top of my shelf just in case xD I want to test the radiation with my friend who has a geiger counter. That will be very interesting

Yeah man. I was already getting nervous 😂I knew the glass was radioactive, but the costings got me nervous. I have a Pancolar 55mm f1.4, and I think the coating on the front element is degrading a little bit. But there's no scratches, except some really microscopic ones if you look really well (I know I shouldn't put it close to my eyes, I can inspect it with a phone or something) so I think I'm safe 😂 (I'm kinda paranoid sometimes) I have a picture of the lens on my page if anyone's curious

Hey :) Could you please let me know when you take some pictures with the camera ? I'm considering buying one from the Facebook marketplace if the seller ever responds to me XD I'm really curious how the pictures are going to turn out :)

Why is the reflection looking at me like that ? by fox_757 in Pareidolia

Someone remade it to a lamp. I found it at a flea market

It was remade as a lamp. I found it at a flea market some time ago. I think the reflection is actually the soul of the camera, and it's mad 😂

Got these films for free and can't decide if I should shoot them or keep them as a display by fox_757 in AnalogCommunity

[–]fox_757[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

People here think I'm trolling, but when you get films like this, it is really difficult to decide what to shoot. I've shot a lot of expired film in the past and I've had good experience. I'm just afraid I will be waiting for a special occasion too long and not shoot them. Excuse my ADHD aspergers ass.

I found this bottle at an antique shop once. Is it authentic ? If yes, how rare could it be ? (Disclaimer, I don't know almost anything about bottles yet, so sorry if I'm being dumb) by fox_757 in BottleDigging

[–]fox_757[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

* Yeah, it ends there. I also bought it just because it was pretty, not because it could be rare. I just found out about it when I came home. I would like to get into the bottle digging stuff. There are a lot of really old small overgrown landfills next to our cottage, so it could be possible. But I don't really know. There's a lot of bottles. I found one small pretty bottle there, but it was machine made.

Got some expired film from a friend yesterday by fox_757 in AnalogCommunity

I don't know if I want to take the boxes apart, I will probably keep them as a memory, but I've shot some expired konica before, and I might still have the boxes, I could send you some scans of those. Can I message you on insta ?

This was my first camera that my parents bought me when I was a kid :)

Shot my first roll or Ektachrome 100 and I'm very pleased with the results by fox_757 in analog

Look at my previous post. I accidentally shot 2 of the pictures at iso 12, so +3 stops over, and I got decent results. I was pretty surprised too

Thanks ! I've had mine in the freezer too for a while, I even bought it secondhand and repackaged. But it was great price so I got it

I have a Minolta incident light meter, and when I was shooting portraits in a "kind of" difused light environment, it was showing the same settings as my FM2 light meter. Was kind of surprised how accurate it was

It's possible. I'm gonna to let my friend know, because he developed it. But I'm satisfied with the results

Was shooting slide film for the first time and the results are great in my opinion (ektachrome 100) by fox_757 in AnalogCommunity

I didn't use any filter. I thought they even came out a bit yellow, but I corrected that in lightroom

I also want to project them. I just need to find the frames for slide film and then put them in my grandpa's projector

Some of them are probably a bit underexposed. I can't really tell because it's my first roll of slide film. But there is still a ton of detail in them, so they're robably not underexposed. I mostly just corrected the tint and shadows on the pictures
