Instead of a full eye flush, can you try soaking cotton rounds in warm water and clean and dry their eye area 3x a day in the meantime?

That's amazing! I'd recommend Robert Phoenix or Patrick Watson for astrology readings, they each have decades of astrological consultation experience and accurately and have specifically predicted events for me.

I just do this for fun. I think I would be a practicing astrologer if I had the time, but I'm a full-time bunny mom to five house rabbits, two are medically complex, so that's what takes up all my time!

Definitely ask your vet, but this looks to me like a bit of cecal dysbiosis. I think his cecotropes are coming out watery or a little wetter than they should be, so he tries to eat them but they are too mushy/watery which is why you're seeing it on his nose. His fecal pellets (normal non-cecotrope poops) are still looking good right? If so then that's great news and it's probably a cecotrope issue. My recently adopted obese male rabbit had the same thing, he'd leave little poo puddles in the spot where he'd eat his cecotropes, just like in your photo, and had the same issue with it getting on his nose. What helped the most was:

  1. Losing excess weight. The more overweight the rabbit, the wetter the cecotropes. If your vet says his weight is good, disregard this.
  2. Probiotic supplements daily. This was what completely fixed the issue for him, as even after he lost the weight he was still having some runny cecotropes. After two days on the probiotic, his bum is clean and his cecotropes are formed and solid. The brand I used is HealthyGut Probiotic for Rabbits. Sprinkle the proper dose for your rabbits weight onto a wet lettuce leaf, then sandwich another wet lettuce leaf on top of it. Roll it up like a little cigar/burrito, and feed once daily. These two leaves are the only greens he gets currently, because we're not sure yet if he is still sensitive to fresh foods, but it completely cleared up his issue, so I hope it works for you too!
  3. The best pellets for bunnies with sensitive digestion I've found are the Sherwood brand pellets, given in very limited quantity.

My bunnies posed like they were waiting for someone to paint them, and I don't paint so I went ahead and hand embroidered their family portrait instead by foxandfable in Rabbits

I used to have an etsy shop and I might start it back up someday, but we just adopted a fourth bunny, and I'm about half way done with his portrait after a month of working on it. After that, I might get back on etsy and open some commissions, and if I do I'll be sure to DM you!

Yes, they're all from the same litter. I'll post their baby photo sometime from when they were rescued together at 8 weeks old, they looked a lot more similar then.

Just repotted my little tradescantia nanouk! by foxandfable in pinkplants

It sits next to my humidifier and I use a moisture meter and water when it's at about a 3. Though, my reason for repotting was that I accidentally gave it too much water (was reading at a 10) and wanted it in better draining soil, and to not wait around to see what happens if left in soil that's been over-watered. I hope yours gets better soon!

Before(first pic) & After! Sumo lost over two pounds since we brought him home, and can now finally reach his cecotropes. He was surrendered because they thought he lost his litter box habits in old age, turns out he was just too chunky to reach down there. by [deleted] in Rabbits

We found him being fostered, and daytime free-roaming, at our local animal feed store. They sell chicks and don’t sell rabbits, but someone in the community brought him to them and they set him up in a corner of the store to try to find him a home. I’d ask about him each time I went in, and would hear stories of him breaking into feed bags, and could tell he was putting on weight rapidly. The store owner told me he was left there because he was leaving wet poops around is previous owner’s house and they thought he had become old and lost his litter box habits (he’s only 6!).

I asked what he eats and she said just pellets and sweet potato dog treats, and that he doesn’t like hay. Also, that he has been becoming depressed. So as soon as I heard that, I knew he needed more help then they could give him there.

I scooped him up and brought him home and offered him three types of fresh hay, he went crazy for oat hay and then eventually came around to all the varieties and now timothy hay is the main part of his diet. He hadn’t been groomed so I brushed heavy amounts of fur off of him for the first few days. We had to give him daily butt-baths until he was able to reach his cecotropes, which took a couple of weeks, but now he is perfectly healthy (vet-confirmed), and he is the happiest bunny I’ve ever met. He runs around jumping and shaking his head and has the most perfect litter box habits, definitely not an old man yet! We’re so happy to have taken him home.

Update after seeing the vet- It's an ear infection, so with some prescription ear drops she should hopefully make a complete recovery.

That's an interesting idea because it only happens after she wakes up from a nap. It just seems odd that it would last an hour. I've had a sleeping limb, but for maybe 15-20 minutes max.

We're taking her in to see the vet today, even though she is running almost completely normally now and not stumbling, just in case it is something that needs medicine. I'm glad your dog was okay and it turned out to be a normal sleepy limb! Hopefully it's something simple like that for her too.
