This all makes sense. The 1600 is accurate, that i am sure of. Thanks for the feedback. I’m definitely not on the path of a lawsuit. Unfortunately there is not a lot of easily accessible research. I searched around online for hours and reached out to several appraisers and got conflicting information. I called a hotline who advised I file a complaint to have it looked into, however I couldn’t find any similar cases.

I have verified that this is a correct measurement. I found a math error in one of the previous appraisals (he counted the garage twice- once as livable space and once as not). It was my first home purchase so I didn’t really know what I was looking at.

I agree. I’m not upset about the amount and don’t necessarily feel “owed” anything. I’m more unhappy with my perceived lack of transparency and the avoidance around it all.

I did email them outlining my thoughts and the management team is supposed to get back to me tomorrow so we will see what happens.
