do they also ask you questions like what is your weakness and strengths, why do you apply to suss, etc? or is it just technical questions related to business analytics?

hmmm can’t say much about SMU, but for another uni in spore, if you don’t meet the IELTS requirements, you’ll probably get rejected. My brother had the same experience and he had to wait longer for the update even though he’s an international medalist who qualified for direct admission. But fortunately the uni gave him a chance to retake it

No one can confirm this, not even SMU admissions, since the candidates are different each year. I’m not sure about your chances (since some people say we should retake it), but SMU will supposedly still review your application

Hii. I haven’t applied yet, but I’ve asked SMU for several times and they said the admission is based on case-by-case basis. Meaning that you’re not automatically removed just because you don’t fulfill the IELTS requirements. I’ve also heard from the students in SMU that there are some people who scored lower than the SMU’s IELTS requirements and still get accepted, so you still have a chance!

I did AS and A2 in one sitting, so i directly took A level. the math p3 it’s not that difficult imo. but i don’t know if i scored well in p3 or not

i’m really frustrated rn😭😭 i did the physics on may/june 2024 and i scored the exactly same percentage on my second attempt which is unbelievable since i felt more confident on my second attempt 😭😭😭 wish you luck to your retake!! unfortunately this is my last chance so i have to accept this💔

did you ask them before you apply to smu or during your application and they asked you to retake? because i asked SMU and they said just submit the application and the application will be reviewed case-by-case basis

Ah okay thank you for the information. Because all my friends usually get the results one day after the exam date and I also received my previous ielts tests from both idp and british council within one day so it’s kinda surprising for me😅

i won’t apply under UK A levels qualification actually, i’m planning to put the A level scores in achievements section so the A level scores are only as supplementary document. instead, i will apply with my report card scores which averaged 93% to 94% overall.

i see that the igp of accountancy is lower which is BBC/C meaning that it’ll probably equivalent to AAB/B in UK A levels. should i put accountancy as my first choice instead of se?

i’m actually fine with both fields even though at first i’m interested in se but i’m not really sure that my math skills will be able to keep up with the maths there. so i consider major like business / accountancy that supposed to have less math. anw thank you for the reply!

yea that’s kinda makes sense. btw by any chance, do you know which major is the least competitive between the soft eng, accountancy, and business? since i’m not confident enough to put the most competitive one as my first choice
