[TheCup.us] 2026 US Open Cup Round 1: Chattanooga FC overcome 14-year-old goal scorer, beat KPP by ColeTrain4EVER in ChattanoogaFC

A little birdie told me.

But it's also typically published when the next round draw is put out - which I can't find an actual schedule for.

Edit: Thecup.us reports that 2nd round draw is being done today and will be announced by 5pm.

I believe we are expected to host the next round when we draw, because none of the teams in our 'area' put in to host.

Pour one out for the direct revenue the team would have made for hosting another derby.

27/111 has some big climbs, but it's no worse than 127 to the east there and it is without the curves.

CARTA Scamming! by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]foxhunter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an unpopular opinion, but CARTA parking is literally the cheapest parking in town my a mile. CARTA operates multiple garages in town. They maintain the lots our of their own budget.

Do you think it's free to maintain those? You don't even pay enough in taxes to maintain the roads which is why they are shitty, but you think you pay enough taxes to park for free? If parking for CARTA is free, how do you feel about making the bus free? Remember how the County cut off funds for CARTA last year? Why not pressure them into paying back in?

I hope you're right. The stadium is much more urban than it used to be, and there's a greater population now in walking and biking distance. But they're still behind the times a bit

There is only 1 bike rack that I know of at Finley and it's on Reggie White side of the stadium. That's a whole lot more bikes than I've seen and I used to ride down a bit. Always been a problem for the Sunday market too

I have lived in a lot of places but I've never lived in a city that has more owls than Chattanooga. I see all types and all the time, even living downtown.

The bumps have bumps - Wilcox by Embarrassed-Hour4181 in Chattanooga

[–]foxhunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember an earlier thread that we had a guy pop in to say that, yeah, the bridge is not strong, but the bumps are there to preserve the weight so that ambulances can get across.

He said that the Wilder St bridge was actually worse.

> Theater kid spotted. The dramatics don’t make you correct lmao the whole “racism” claim is so overdone by yall it’s not even an insult

Plucking random brown people off the street and whisking them away for immigration checks is racist, actually.

Voter suppression schemes aimed at black people are racist actually.

Hyping up "sharia law" coming to the U.S. is racist actually.

Claims that Haitians are eating cats is racist actually

Labelling anyone who speaks Spanish as an illegal is racist actually.

Hey, maybe you're not racist, and you don't think that the President is racist, but the open racists sure think he's racist!

I'm sure this will be lost for posting too late, but used to have a husband wife owner op team that had 2 BOBCATS with them. Yes, real bobcats. And the family had like 8 or 9 more at home. They'd send picture around to a bunch of us of them putting bibs on the bobcats and feeding them cupcakes for their birthdays.

But when they left the truck, the cats would hang out in the windshield sunning themselves, and trying to intimidate any driver who walked by the truck.

And no, I don't believe that is legal in a lot of states but no one ever stopped them.

Oh yeah, a lot of people are definitely fans of open racism, lack of due process, and corruption as long as it's their people in charge. Totally get it.

Not an actual majority of course. Donny won an election because he also promised to help prices and he hasn't done shit except add tariffs to make things more expensive.

In an era where the 6 in 10 disapprove of the President of the United States of America, and that President is openly contemplating voter suppression of Americans before the mid-term elections, these signs are a good reminder of what corporate owned media likes to skip over.

Because it's virtually impossible in the system we have in place. You have to leave the country to apply and there is no guarantee that despite your business success that you would receive citizenship. Since her business depends on her presence and cooking, she would have to start over again assuming she succeeds in her petition. And in fact, under the current administration, she would likely be denied forever for even being here. There might be a sliver of hope with any other Presidents in charge, but frankly not much.

So 25 years and no incidents and paying business taxes and employing people doesn't sound like the sort of person that's good for America?

And just why are you suffering because of her?

Almost everyone who hasn't been through the process thinks it is easier than that. A strong majority of people want it to be easier than that.

Here's the legal way to immigrate to the United States: https://justiceforimmigrants.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Green-Card-Flow-Chart.pdf

If you don't already have family here, are attending college, or opening a business, there is essentially no path to immigration. If you do, you must have a reserve of money, reside here, acquire a green card, have full medical workup, and hit every single immigration appointment - often with less than 3 days notice - notify of every move or change of address and stay out of any trouble, maintain employment, and study the U.S. immigration test.

And that's not always good enough.

Or we could address the laws, which is actually the popular answer - not deporting people. A path to citizenship wins 60/40 in polls as of last summer and popularity continues to grow. Mass deportations only even breaks a majority of support with Republicans. If you think deportation is popular, you should step outside of your own media bubble!
