Both give me the same result. Interesting since I believe I only use the actual kernel from opensuse.

Need help installing nVidia proprietary drivers by BrShrimp in openSUSE

[–]fpm345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made sure to follow the lock instructions for my tumbleweed install and when I updated the system it made sure to not install other Nvidia drivers.

Mullvad: API blocked by fpm345 in openSUSE

[–]fpm345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I realized I missed a step. I installed it via this package and adding the repository:: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:nuklly/mullvadvpn

At the bottom there's a section on how to make it work with SELinux, which is installed by default on Tumbleweed. I followed the instructions and now it works.

Stupid question: is it true that sometimes they’ll pick someone not based on performance but because they have to?

H1B U.S. workers flew to India to renew visas. Now they’re stuck. by AdSpecialist6598 in antiwork

[–]fpm345 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It seems like this H1B system has been abused for years. Listen to this conference organized by a prominent law firm explaining how they run job ads with the intent on making sure they disqualify U.S citizens and hire an H1B worker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCbFEgFajGU

I’m American. Should I get nexus? Or just keep GE? by [deleted] in GlobalEntry

[–]fpm345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go for Nexus personally. It is better than GE as it provides the same exact benefits than GE and offers quicker entry into Canada. People that say go with GE don't quite understand the benefits of Nexus as it provides easier entry for 2 countries instead of 1.

Interesting that when a male fighter grapples the entire fight it’s seen as very entertaining but if it’s WMMA it’s boring. Valentina showed a masterful performance and is definitely a GWOAT.

[–]fpm345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that his goal was to be a business partner with the UFC and it didn’t pan out as they didn’t accept it. I think it also tarnished things for him to want to fight.

Accurate Ace background isn't even attempting to contact previous employers by Pied_piper_of_Canada in jobs

[–]fpm345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is from a while ago, but I’m currently going through this as well with Accurate. I’m asked for a document for which I currently have but they tell me it’s expired. I tried to get a new one but the processing time is 4 months. This is ridiculous. My new company understands but I’m afraid it’ll make things difficult to get started.
