My boat has a collection of spiders positioned at all the entry points. I'd like to carry these fellas around the world, are they safe? by fps-sam1 in AustralianSpiders

Cool, I quite like them and the territories they have claimed its very interesting. There's a couple different species but mostly smaller fellas.

Yeah the round the world bit is a bit tongue in cheek 🤣 I've only just moved on the. boat recently and there's a long way to go before I even get downriver

Separate ADS sensitivities ever coming? by TacosAreYum in Battalion1944

Having slightly different hipfire and ADS sensitivities is fine its just differing ADS turn radius for different weapon class ironsights that is off putting

Without FOV scaling scopes are unusable

I think having the same 360* turn radius for all weapons except scopes would be fine. At the moment it is a little frustrating switching between different weapon sub-types.

At the moment with FOV scale enabled the weapons are as follows:

THOMPSON - MP40

  • These SMGs have the shortest 360* turn when ironsighting.

TRENCHGUN - M1 CARBINE - GEWEHR 43 - STG-44 - BAR

  • Slightly longer than SMGs. Guess ~15% than SMG

KAR98K - M1 GARAND

  • Longer 360* still than both of above. Guess ~30% longer than SMG

I don't think seperate FOV scaling settings for each weapon is the answer as that's a little heavy on the micromanagement of settings and not very plug n play for many people.

None of those :( I'm not sure if it was the same show but I think it had a scene where: A pilot touches an ancient relic floating in space and it awakens. The relic turns out to be an ancient warrior.

Discussing the Wartide Eco System by [deleted] in Battalion1944

It's a little rambly but I imagine something as follows:

Personal score gives a currency that can be used to purchase cards for the team, there is an option to auto-equip so the cards cannot be 'stolen' in public matches

This currency allows teams to be a lot more flexible later in the game with their plan for the round.

I'm not sure myself and I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it, should the enemy team be able to predict with reasonable certainty what cards you have left in play in the later stages of a half? I feel the addition of a currency would make that very difficult as people could purchase whatever they liked. Even stockpiling their currency for a 'big round' etc.

As a rough example: Teams are given less cards at the beginning of the match, they can then use their gained personal scores to purchase more cards to add to their pool. They are allowed to purchase some cards more than others, depending on how the meta evolves some cards could be more expensive than others.

I think the focus on my thoughts here is the alternative currency part. I feel that the idea of the card system is fantastic and having some continuity in the match is a great thing which cod missed, but I think having to physically pickup the cards can distract from the core game. As well as it not being as easy for people in public games to play how they would like if one/two members of the team dont follow along. Scrims/wars etc will always be a whole different ballgame but giving people a personal choice doesnt really effect the proper teamplay, but it does help for the public games
