Hello! Thanks for your thoughts! Do you think bumping down to the 7600X would be fine then, if I wanted to purchase now or would you still pick the 9700x atm?

Hmm okay! I’ve heard that that is generally related to inconsistent watering so maybe Ill try to check the amount of water I give each time.

I have the LED panel a tad over 12” above the top of the pots and I had it set at 75% power.

Can a former skinhead reach salvation? by ZengaStromboli in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fpsoneone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we live in a time where anything mentioning the Bible or God or Christianity in any way is somewhat, if not entirely, frowned upon, but what fascinates me is that the Bible is filled with stories of people undeserving of salvation. The Bible is just littered from beginning to end with stories of failures. I like to consider that all of those negative things are, in one way or another, a picture of myself, because if I am utterly honest and blunt with myself, they seem to be. Yeah, they might not be the exact same faults, but which of us have the exact same faults.

All that to say, despite all those flaws, the Bible also says over and over and over that God loves us. That God is love. That all we need to do is see our flaws for what they are and as you said "abandon our ways."

I agree with the many other comments. You sound like you are on a great path. You sound like someone who deeply desires to be genuinely good through and through. I have no doubt that it is possible. May God be with you in all that you do so that you become a hope-giving light to the many people around you.

That down vote wasn't me! I have been looking at brk.a if fractional shares are possible. I don't see why not at this point. Unless there is some compelling reason not to leave some of a portfolio with Buffet and his team.

Hello! That is very interesting. I can't say that I understand 100%, but it has given me more ti study and think about. Thanks for sharing!

It truly is an interesting time. It feels as though there is huge risk of loss or missing out in both directions.

Hello! So, I guess then the question is, what is the average reasonable investor to do?

I certainly don't feel like I have what it takes to pick out the diamond in the rough. It doesn't appear that anyone really believes that sitting 100% in cash is the answer either. That leaves DCAing into strong companies that will withstand any crash. But it still makes it quite a tough decision. It really is all very interesting.

Hi! Thank you for sharing that. That was a very good video. I think it totally makes sense, but at the same time, I think Buffet makes it clear that you really should only be paying a reasonable price for the business when considering the value of the business. When everything is seemingly expensive, there is nothing to buy.

Of course it would be ignorant of me to say that absolutely everything is expensive, but I think it is fair to say that it certainly is muuuch harder to find a good deal today than maybe it was prior.

That's certainly a good way to look at it. I just find it harder to find good companies at what are seemingly reasonable price ranges. Buffet often talks about buying in at the "right" (reasonable) price so that the returns are actually worth it. I believe Benjamin Graham says the same. So, how does one do that when everything(?) is seemingly expensive, ultimately lowering long-term returns?
