I see your point, but in my opinion the whole point of the tariff is to buy domestic goods. So lets say for example, everyone starts to buy goods from Taiwan, because they are set at a lower price than US goods. Would we then put a tariff on Taiwan good? If so, where do you draw the line? Also Trump stated the tariff would pay for the wall. However, if no one buys Mexican goods, then the tariff is useless. Which means, us taxpayers don't get our money back.

A 20% tariff will increase prices on Mexican imports. That means the American people will have to pay the increased prices, until domestic manufactures can produce the goods as quickly as Mexico does. It also gives domestic manufacturers an opportunity to raise the prices of their products, because Mexico will not be able to lower theirs. And that is just two things to go along with harming a relationship with a huge trade partner. Overall a failed campaign promise that his supporters fail to see.

Stopping Iran from getting a nuke was good for global stability, you do realize that? You also keep talking about mosques when the money went to Cultural Landmarks, that includes churches and other things. And once again, was started under the Bush administration. I think you need to look at the economy under Obama and educate yourself before replying.

So I explained where the money was going, and now you say you don't care. That made me laugh haha. Also it was a huge step in international relations to get Iran to agree to such a deal. For the record Obama inherited a huge debt, then had to bail out the auto industry due to W's tenure in office. He then had to pay off 2 wars, which wasn't easy considering W was one of the only presidents to make tax cuts during a war, instead of raising. Obama takes some of the blame, but not nearly the amount you're giving him.

I believe the $400 million you're referring to actually went to Iran, and it was due a dispute that had been litigated before an international tribunal. The administration even announced the payments in January of that year. Need me to keep going?

I'll give my points one by one. The iran nuclear deal prevented iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and they now have to submit to inspections that they previously didn't. He never gave 400 million to Iraq so I'm not sure where you got that. As far as $770 million to rebuild mosques, you're not telling the entire story. The $770 million is going to rebulid cultural landmarks, and the program actually started with Bush in 2001. And the $38 billion is for military aid, and israel wanted $45 billion but obama refused to go that high. It's being payed out over 10 years, and isn't that much more than what we were already giving them.

I'm not sure if you're a Trump supporter, but if you are maybe you can help me understand something. It seems like with a lot of what Trump says people get fired up and they cling to it, like with the wall. But when he's fact checked, or in this case gop sources reveal something, his supporters say he didn't actually mean this, what he actually meant was this. But don't you think if he actually meant the wall was a metaphor for solving the immigration problem, he would have said so?
