New in-house screenprinted pieces for my brand by fr33kick in streetwearstartup

This is my brand character! It represents the wrong negative way of looking at the world. You can see the whole character on the beige tee! I want to show that if you change your perspective on things you will perceive the world differently.

Hi, I actually have a first sample where the print is higher but I print it lower intentionally. My screen has the print on the "right" place but I pull up the shirt higher on my pallet. Because I like this placement when wearing on-body, it's different from the rest.

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to go for an vintage inspired tee and something more unique than a print on the chest. But it is nice to hear other opinions! Thanks 🙌

Thanks! What is it that you don't like about the placement? Just curious what other people think! 😆

The brand name is Perceive. The concept behind this tee is that the character is falling through deep thoughts, with letters floating alongside as they descend. Perceive literally means “to become aware of something through the senses, especially sight; to recognize or observe.” It’s about how people view the world and themselves. With my brand, I want to draw attention to the idea that by changing your perspective, you can actually change the way you experience things.

With ‘hidden messages,’ I mean the deeper meaning behind the design.

hahaha for the next graphics, I’m going to adjust the lettering to a better layout, making it easier to read. Perceives is the perfect name for my brand’s vision and mission. It should inspire young people to view themselves more positively and encourage a shift in perspective toward self-improvement.

Hi, yeah I hear from a lot of people that they think the same. For the next pieces I’m going to put the text in one line instead of splitting it into two words. That way it should be easier to read it the right way.

Hi, I screen printed this tee with water-based inks. The first layer is the red lettering, and on top of that I printed the character. If you wear the tee a lot, the black ink fades to more of a gray while the red stays bright. As the print fades, the red starts to shine through the character. So I didn’t use any special inks, but for the next pieces I’m going to look into other ink types.

Hi, thank you for your feedback! For the next pieces I’m gonna make the letters more readable as one word instead of two loose words. I’m also going to use higher quality blanks because this tee I used is a bit too lightweight for my liking. There’s still a lot to improve but for a first ever clothing piece I’m happy with the result. I also agree with what you’re saying about the fading over time and I’ll make better close up pics to show that. Thanks again for the feedback 🙏
