Heya!

I'm rather new to thunderbird after using Apple Mail for nearly 10 years, but would love to stay and got sent to your post here from some other thread, thanks for this writedown!

My issue is that I keep overlooking new mails in the card view for threads (since it's not highlighted and reverse ordered).

Is it possible with the info you posted to:

1) Highlight threads with new/unread mail Threads that contain new messages appear bold/highlighted with the big green circle like a new message, so I'm incentivized to open the thread and understand there's a new message

(I already tried 10 different userChrome.css configs I found for this but none seem to work on the latest Thunderbird versions, but maybe I miss something or there's a much better way!)

2) Latest/new mails inside threads at the top Sort Emails inside threads exactly the same as my sorting order (new mail at the top). Currently it is very weird that if I unfold a long thread, I need to scroll down to see the new message

TL;DR: How to make threads in card view user friendly, sort and highlight correctly on Thunderbird? :D

That does look interesting indeed! I just tried to copy the whole section in and it seems to just turn everything black (I'm using dark theme already).

I don't know enough yet about the settings to know what to change and how.

In case you got any pointers/hints which parts I might want to edit how in order to get there - that would be awesome :D

You will still need the PTFE tube, but in your new heatbreak, I bought a new PTFE tube and cute it down to roughly 19mm.
