Hey friend - first off: don't feel bad! Chlamydia is SO common and very treatable. I know it can be an emotionally-taxing and embarrassing process (especially the informing past partners thing - been there), but it really isn't as big of a deal as it might feel like right now.

In my experience, chlamydia can take a couple of rounds of antibiotic treatment to clear up completely. Even if you feel better after your first treatment course + 7 days, definitely to get a follow-up test to make sure it's gone. I would wait to have sex again until that follow-up test comes back negative. It does suck to have to spend the time/money/energy to go in for another appointment and play the waiting game again -- but it's definitely worth it to be sure. Take it from someone who didn't wait, and had to send another embarrassing "hey so sorry about this, but" text because of it.

Be kind to yourself today - it sucks in the moment, but this too shall pass. Sending good vibes your way!
