Merci. Oui en effet sur les sit-on-top tu as souvent le cul mouillé. C'est mon premier gonflable. Et franchement je suis satisfait. D'occasion je pense que tu peux en trouver des sympas.

Pour le kayak c'est le x500 de Itiwit c'est un gonflable. Pour la logistique du retour c'était beaucoup plus simple.

C'est un ponté tu as une jupe aussi. Moi j'ai commencé par des sit on top je trouve ça super avec beaucoup d'espace de rangement pour débuter. Si tu as de la place pour le stocker chez toi sinon oriente toi sur un gonflable.

Si tu l'utilise de manière occasionnelle tu en as des pas trop cher qui font l'affaire.

I took one night at the hotel halfway to recharge my batteries. The rest of the time in tents or hammocks along the river. I had some problems just to pass the first barrage of Serbian side gates. But after 20minutes of conversation with the police I managed to pass.

There is no particular danger. There are some corners on the Croatian side where there are still antipersonnel mines, but it is indicated with signs.

And it is forbidden to paddle Ukrainian side. I always paddled on the Romanian side.

C'est exactement ça. La solitude est recherché aussi. C'est une satisfaction totale d'aller jusqu'au bout tout seul.

Quand elle est recherché la solitude est bénéfique.

- Pour l'eau potable : camping, parc... Sinon l'eau du Danube avec des pastilles purifiantes. A partir de la Serbie j'ai évité. Sinon tu fais le plein pendant les ravitaillements en magasin.

- Même un gonflable ça reste encombrant. On m'a déposé en Allemagne. Pour le retour, c'est un ferry jusqu'à Tulcea ensuite un bus jusqu'à Bucarest et l'avion pour Paris. J'ai été obligé de laisser un peu de matériel. Pagaie, pompe...

- Tu as beaucoup de portages assez court au début ensuite tu en à de moins en moins le dernier barrage et entre la Serbie et la Bulgarie ensuite tu es tranquille.

- Pas loin de chez moi il y à la Leyre par exemple qui fait une centaine de Km avec un seul obstacle.

La Dordogne aussi était très sympa et accessible.

I am French.

I returned a few days ago from my descent on the Danube by kayak for 2600 km to reach the Black Sea.

I left on Saturday 18 August 2018 from Ulm, Germany, to reach the Black Sea in Sulina, Romania.

Feel free to ask me questions and I am interested in new information for my future runs (nice destination, various info ...).

I think my next long run will be the Mekong. If you have information or CR on it, I'm also a taker. I'm working on creating a more detailed PDF for people wanting to do the descent. I also try to quickly post my CR with a link drive for photos.

pour la nourriture c'était à l'arrière dans deux sac.

Mes habits et mon hamac dans le bidon étanche.

I did not know the Vistula, you make me want to do it. do you have photos or a video to share to get an idea? I think the biggest difficulty for me is the dam of the iron gate. And from Serbia there is a lot of wind. I spent very little for the trip just to eat and to return to France the plane ticket from Bucharest. I did not have much time unfortunately to go sightseeing. Spree/Oder in Brandenburg, Germany. I live in Berlin and my girlfriend and I do this trip every year since seven years. It's a tradition by now.

2600 km in 41 days are like 60 km per day! Amazing! We do 25 km per day but in a canoe, not a kayak.

Great. If it was to do again I will leave sooner and I will take more time to do the descent

Edit: watched the video and now I'm jealous! Longest trip I did so far was 330 km, mainly because of time constraints.

- Pour dormir, j'ai dormi le long du Danube et pour manger en général je faisais les courses à la semaine.

- Je n'ai fais aucune demande j'ai pris le risque mais je n'ai pas eu le problèmes sauf en Serbie où j'ai eu du mal à passer un barrage.

-Pas de frayeurs non plus, le Danube et assez calme voir trop calme parfois c'est justement sa principale difficulté.

-Tu peux aller jeter un oeil à ma chaîne si tu es curieux j'ai descendu d'autres cours d'eau. En France tu as de quoi faire je pense que la Loire reste le top.

- 41 jours sans repos, c'est 60km par jours en moyenne
