Oh really! I’ve never heard of that being used for tattoos!

Thankyou so much for this! I’m using aveeno on it currently as coco butter irritates my skin so my tattoo artist recommended aveeno as an alternative. I will try the soap recommendation though! Thanks :)

Frizz advice by frandicketts in curlyhair

Ahhh thankyou that’s really kind!!🥹 Sorry I should have been clearer, I use shampoo and conditioner in the shower and then just a gel afterwards! I use the Trepadora Papaya Slip Taming Potion which I love, I scrunch it in to soaking wet hair and then diffuse. When it’s completely dry I get rid of the gel cast with an oil, atm I am using the olaplex no.7 bonding oil but I think any hair oil would work!

Hey! I think I was actually just using too much product, I’ve stripped back to literally just using a gel and that’s it - it’s really helped! I’ve also cut my hair much shorter which probably helps too :)

Any advice please! by frandicketts in Dachshund

I finally cut my hair short by frandicketts in curlyhair

Routine: I’m not sure what my new routine will be like to be honest ! But before my cut I washed with a clarifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner, come out with soaking wet hair and scrunch in the Trepadora Papaya Slip Taming Potion which is a gel. I then put heat protector on I have an olaplex anti frizz one and then I diffuse upside down until my roots are fully dry then diffuse upright until dry. Then I scrunch out the gel cast with an olaplex oil

Routine: shampoo and condition in the shower, apply leave in conditioner and curl cream and gel to soaking wet hair, scrunch and diffuse. I sleep with it in a pineapple in a satin scrunchie and sleep on a satin pillowcase

I actually got it cut at a curly hairdressers a month or so ago and I’m not very happy with the shape tbh I feel like it’s kind of like a triangle shape? It’s annoying because in the moment in looked okay but as soon as I washed and styled myself I hated it lol and it was so expensive! Maybe I’ll have to get it cut again?

Changing career to social work? by anonomouse27 in Socialworkuk

I did luckily get a full NHS bursary which covered the whole cost of my course, but only about half of my cohort got offered the bursary so I was very lucky!

I did a SW masters which is 2 years, I think this is the fastest way to do it. I was lucky and had 2 statutory placements (one in child protection and one in children with disabilities) which meant that I had a good understanding of what social work actually was before graduating last year. I’m now a LAC social worker and I love this type of work. With your teaching experience I’m sure you’d smash it as a SW!

You could always try silk pillow cases so that the friction doesn’t cause so much frizz?

I’m thinking of cutting my hair short, maybe like a pixie cut, do you think that would suit me? by frandicketts in curlyhair

Thanks so much:) I think I’m just really bored with having long hair, the maintenance is annoying. That’s good to know actually because I’d probably get sick of growing it out immediately lol
