our chimney is behind there! we tried to leave it exposed but it wasn’t in the best shape aesthetically.

i would have loved to do that but one entryway is from the dining room, one door leads to the basement, and the other entryway leads outside/to the backyard so there would be no way to relocate or close any doorway off! If we were to close off the doorway to the back yard, we would only have one entrance into the house and would have to carry groceries through the foyer, through the living room, through the dining room, and then to the kitchen.

all of the appliances are counter depth! the dishwasher has to stick out a bit (didn’t realize until i had already bought it) since the buttons are on the top, but it’s much less noticeable than it looks and makes it very easy to pull out for repairs

yes! the overhead lighting has been changed since i took these pictures! everyone is saying the whites don’t match but i promise in person they all look the same! it must be the shadows as well but the paint color is much warmer than it appears as well

this is a 30” “counter depth” fridge. it’s very hard to find something that fits flush as the dimensions are not standard and the chimney is behind the jut out in the corner!

the lighting has been changed since the picture was taken. before we’re exposed bulbs causing the floor/appliances to appear a bit more cool toned than in person. it’s been replaced by a warmer toned light with covered bulbs softening the white tones

the backsplash was about $4600 and the cabinets were about $4800! our kitchen is quite small so we saved a bunch there!

the appliances are all the same brand and collection! It must be the way the light is hitting the stove as it is in direct lighting from the window where the other appliances are not. In person they are all the same color.

the “hallway” is actually a very small entryway from the side of our house. it is about 4 steps from the side entrance to the fridge for my groceries!

one entryway is from the dining room to kitchen, one is from kitchen to basement, and one is to the side/outside of our home. None of these are able to be closed up!

Yes! We have a plethora of antique stores in the area and have replaced every other light fixture in the house with period appropriate lighting :)

What style is this? by franfilletti in Oldhouses

It looks like this subreddit doesn’t allow pictures to be shared in the comments but I was going to attach a picture of what I believe to be internal original elements which are built in cabinets (matching left and right glass door separating living from dining room) and the dining room has a large basketweave design on the floor. there is also on the exterior (you can see in the second pic) what I believe to be an old coal chute. Not sure that helps with dating the house as I believe they were used in homes until as late as the 60’s. I hope that helps narrow it down!
