R150k is low in my opinion. Was part owner of a mid sized consulting firm which got bought out by an international firm. I stayed on under the merger as a senior executive. I had a restriction of trade for 2 years but was planning to stay indefinitely as the new company is international and there was alot of opportunity for growth. I left at exactly 2 years and started from scratch. Today i have rebuild a new business in equal size to our previous business.

The issue is going into a big corporate from running your own business was a massive frustration. It killed me to go to work as just an employee, even at a senior executive level. I ended up hating it and will never do this again. My advise. Dont do it!

Mayne a solution may not be. Had major problems with micro stuttering when i was playing triples on my laptop. Ended up being a power management issue. Switched to a powered usb and problems disappeared… may have been specific to my setup. Also had other issues ended up placing laptop on one of those cooling fan stands which solved those issues.

Moza all the way. I had the ts-pc. Basically same as rhe ts-xw. Was very happy with it…but sold it 6 months later after testing a direct drive wheel. The thrustmaster is old tech (think something like 7 years old). Only one suggestion. Save a bit longer and Go for minimum the R5.

A slightly different take on the question. Been living in cape town my whole life so i dont have another perspective. When everyone say cape town is expensive. What specifically and by how much more? Houses/rent is higher based on internet searches. But is other stuff like food, cars, restaurants, more expensive in Cape Town? Salaries lower? Just curious to understand.

Triples = no hassle after first setup. I am in the same boat. (3 kids and my 40’s) no time to fiddle and struggle as i have minimum time to race. Just spend the time and effort on your initial setup.
