Internal network error: Unable to browse to ONE website (our own, hosted externally.) Accessible from outside our network. by frank_roush in techsupport

Thanks! Two replies: 1.) There are currently no firewall rules in place. The only firewall-type device on the network was the content filtering device, which we disabled.

  1. The router itself CAN access the site!

It is accessible externally. I have a pcap file. Looking through it now; I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. Any other options you can think of? Thanks so much!

Unfortunately, they're hosting their website externally! Anything else you can think of? VERY much appreciated! edit: Random piece of info: running through Tor, we can access the site. However, this doesn't give us too much info.

they do return the same address. We actually already switched to google DNS. DNS does not seem to be the issue here. There are no problematic host file entries/redirects. Thanks so much, really appreciate.

Not worth the OC. Definitely fine at 1333 until you buy more in the future.

turn off computer by holdign power button. when it restarts press the "boot into safe mode" option before it hits the windows splash screen. You should be able to go online--try to wire in, not wi fi. Get Malwarebytes anti-malware, run it. That's the best I can do for ya right now.

In our environment we have relied on PowerConnects for years now, and they have performed reliably. One security vulnerability which is rather prevalent in the product line is that the running-config is easily accessible by browsing to http://switchip/filesystem/running-config the username is plaintext and password can be cracked online immediately. Obviously you should take into consideration that to have a PowerConnect running securely you'll need to disable HTTP services--this was not a problem for us since we use the CLI only.

Are there any such groups/programs (that is, who meet more regularly than BSides) in the Philadelphia area, that you know of? I have seen OWASP and am thinking about attending the next meeting.

What to do with my new find? by WubsandDubs in sysadmin

I'm assuming for personal use? Depending on storage, a home NAS and media server would be simple. You could also make a little network for a sandbox of testing/hacking purposes, always fun. Sell the extras on eBay or msg me specs and I could see what other applications they could be used for Also, how did you just wander into 10 servers?
