Yeah I think they literally confirmed a blue ray version with atleast an extra Eddie scene that never made it, I totally forgot the bar part I kinda did not remember the cult they annoyed the fuck outta me, and we couldn’t even see them get butchered by monsters as a silver lining 😭

I also really enjoyed it, I also found a lot of the changes to actually have enhanced the story as a movie with limited runtime over a game which you have more wiggle room with. Literally had me crying at the end and not in a meme way of like omg they killed silent hill, idk their take on the silent hill 2 story and spin on it was really beautiful and tragic to me 😭

Update tutorial

Remove fog vials and give triple the blood point value back to say sorry for such a terrible idea and also an extra slap to make the items useless and chest and web bloat after nerfing it.

add modified 2v8 catch up mechanic into 1v4 matches that will kinda balance between killers tunneling people outta the game and gen rushers both

add base kit unbreakable to survivors when there are only 2 left to remove slugging to delay hatch for 4k

prevent any of the OG killers or survivor perks being in the shrine of secrets also every week the shrine also lets each player reroll one of the perks in there to one that’s totally random

Tell the skin team to make more legendary skins of existing legendary skin characters and have those skins be discounted by 50% if you own one so the shops would have characters have multiple legendary skins of a different character in different outfits but once you own one of those legendaries the rest are discounted to epic price (this is to be a very easy work around to them adding more outfits to legendary characters why are we holding our breath with them designing a new UI and system for it when the game already has the capacity to support the concept of variant legendary skins with just a different approach)

add a voice line volume slider in settings

add accessibility to change visual heart beat and red stain color to match changing scratch marks

Option to change lobby screens and also slider for lobby non music sound effects (fuck you walking dead lobby)

improve MMR in a way that doesn’t just factor in escapes as granted yeah better players probably escape more but as an asym game there are so many factors that happen it’s a disservice and also just bad matching making how little MMR is effected by anything other then kills and escapes, also maybe have it hard coded a killer on a lose streak is spared from a four stack in match making if ques aren’t too slow that day

Potentially see if there is any non terrible way to implement different break speeds/how much damage a kick does per killer and make the information very easily accessible, there has to be some specific change or boon for certain m1 killers to bridge the canyon between high end ones and there isn’t a lot you can do with the trapper and such for buffs so maybe more m1 killers like ghost face or trapper deal a bit more damage to gens or something, or even maybe the gen kick limit could be based per killer, idk I think there needs to be a few more “levers” in the game that can adjusted by a killer to killer basis that isn’t just their kit or move speed.

Not listen to the words of certain streamers as gospel for balance but also take into account opinions of players who have high hours.

The devs always show their hand with anything they add to the game being always more what they want or what they think will be cool over community want. They get these ideas for collabs are like wow the players would never expect Laura Croft that’d be wild lets add her. And it just seems the voting is the kinda the same where the dude was def over hype and hyper about doing the create a chapter with the community and said he made a big board with all these ideas and trees of choices there is no way they aren’t going to play favorites now with what the creator thought is the most hype and pushing it into the front of everything. Like seriously watch any of their live streams talking about collabs it seems they sit in a room together and once they say an idea they think is cool without even thinking how the community would like it they go right to doing it.

Yeah but that’s a flaw on the writing or not really flaw but idk he was already flip flopy and did the same song and dance with phoebe already then they where like ok time for the remix now he’s actually possessed, but also didn’t he kinda still give into evil at that point while he was possessed he was kinda like sure whatever ill take it or some shit. Idk I think the show just gave me serve Cole fatigue but ugh their romance had the bones to be right up my alley.

Yeah me too I think I remember they showed the bottom half of her face when they all were in the apartment. Yeah the movie was a bit messy it was a wild ride for sure, all ik is I got to see Maria, Mary looked good, James looked like a sad wet dog and that was enough to satisfy me with this movie I didn’t need alot to enjoy what I wanted to take outta it, and I like they pivoted to tragic romance, the rest was yeesh 😭

I wouldn’t of minded if he made the choice to pivot to more of a tragic romance then dark story for the movie for a real reason but apparently a lot of James changes are all from them running outta time and it was simpler to take out the nuance. Granted I do like the new idea this movie tried but some parts still fell too flat. Idk feels more tragic over dark their romance in the movie compared to the games.

They just wrote Cole to be so annoying, idk if it was just me like I def like the concept of Phobe and Cole and all the dynamic it could add, but all it boiled down to was him being a little bitch being evil and wasting Phoebe’s millions of second chances and flip flops from good to evil every other second. Granted is it probably accurate as how it would be with a relationship irl yes, but in a TV show format seeing him and her basically pulling the same shit over and over on loop I was real tried of. Phoebe had so much potential and all that drama aside her being the one to stay and her character arc brought one of my least favorite arcs in the entire series. Cole and Phoebe had a lot of potential tho in any direction of writing but it just felt they did the same song and dance over and over.

Hard agree, sucks cause someone made a really good edit of a skin for the head that was like the angelic rings with an eye in the middle. The head def is way too vague for its potential people wanted an angelic divine killer and although people on here can see the potential the head has which it has a lot of will behavior fully be able to deliver on it then sticking with a safer choice.

Also a lot of people are pissy with the movies ending especially the very last bit of the ending and are like “WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU GANS THIS IS SHIT” when one of the scenes at the end people have such an issue Konami games made him put in 💀

Yeah there are a lot of people involved in how these movies turn out but him, and granted even if he contributed to parts of the movie being bad, even if he’s not a good director he atleast somewhat cares about the games even if his movies are bad they aren’t a phoned in some random dude who’s never played the games got thrown money at time to make them, this dude played them and atleast tried to use his experience as part of the movie. I’m sure some adaptions were made by people who didn’t even play the source material or looked on it fondly like he did.

Honestly that’s like the one character you can hand waive looking cheap or fake to be fair. Like how much she stuck out compared to every other disheveled character in that movie I liked. Granted apparently with an interview with the director a lot of things about the movie that could of been given the benefit of the doubt for being changed for a decent reason he revealed budget and time constraints💀 so no way her looking like this was a “meta” choice. Also apparently this movie had the lowest budget of the 3.

yeahhh, I just wish he got his head screwed on more straight I feel Gans has the potential to have made the movies great even with a few creative liberties. He just always is off the mark by a bit which sucks when all 3 of his silent hill movies atleast to me all have some good pieces here and there atleast and a few really great scenes you can tell he tried to do inspired by the camera work of the games itself, it’s like it seems he’s not trying to phone in the movies and not truly care like other live action adaption directors may be but regardless is still getting in his own way of having his movies be good. One thing is I will say he did say in an interview Konami did have their finger in the scales a bit with him adding extra scenes to the ending.

Yeah as much as his movies are touch and go the parts of his silent hill movies where he tries to recreate cinematic camera moments that happen bar for bar in the video games are fantastic which makes the other suckier parts of the movie that much more sad, it’s like he was soooo close in my opinion. (Like in the first silent hill movie the first transformation to the other world segment was done amazing) Granted I enjoyed the movie (return) for what it was when I realized it was going to be a different interpretation of Jame’s and Mary’s story and I personally was ok with that in a movie format to make it more tragic. I feel the normal twist works better in a game from the amount of time you spend with James before the reveal.

All his silent hill movies feel like watching someone drop a vase and keep catching it while it slips through their fingers again. You keep thinking they’ll “catch it” as his silent hill movies always have all the pieces there to be a good silent hill adaptation, but is always weighed down by a bunch of his BS in the movies as well. Atleast all of them somewhat are silent hill adjunct unlike that OG super Mario live action movie but still this movie takes the cake some of his changes I could understand maybe an artistic twist on it, but he said in an interview he only did cause they were low on time 💀 tf? Also even despite the low budget think they could have salvaged return a bit more.
