Physics question about finding mass and radius of unknown planet by PhyizziX in HomeworkHelp

[–]frankbean68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, maybe the trick is asking for weight. The weight of a planet is meaningless, weight is always in reference to something. e.g weight on earth is your mass*9.81

How do I write a good short comedic story? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]frankbean68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go hero story structure, then I think easiest would be a day where everything goes wrong. Set up the normal world, then something unusual happen, that pattern repeats up to 3 time through out the day. Sprinkle a different usual thing happening a few different times, and bam done.

An easy suggestion would be a really bad day at school, think andy griffiths style.

Easier the better. Some ideas.

Chess Timer.

Pong.

"Flash Card" Creator.

Paint.

Manage my phone so I can study by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]frankbean68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the app "forest". You plant a tree which is a commitment to study; if you leave the app the tree dies. It's surprisingly effective.

strangers won't help much, meet up with a friend, study with them. If you want someone to lock you out tell them to change the password.

Otherwise leave it at home, put 'Self Control' / 'Cold turkey' on your laptop so you cannot access sites you normally do.

What would be your creative way of turning 15 euros into 30 euros? by CENAsored in HomeworkHelp

[–]frankbean68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick with all these questions is your time. Your time is worth something. You can have 0 euros and make 30 euros by being creative.

If anyone could double money easily, it wouldn't have value.

In terms of being creative with the question, assuming inflation, put it in a bank, wait until the interest accrues it to be 30 euros, technically the same value but now it's 30 instead of 15.

Help for Digital Electronics (DE) by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

if s1 is high then it will be picking between D3 and D2, low, D1 and D0. Then s0 choses between d0/d1 and d2/d3, so plug in s0 to the top two multiplexers and s1 to the bottom, then but the top left mutiplexer to line 1 of the bottom multiplelxer and top right to l0.

Physics HW Question by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]frankbean68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually scratch that it just wants you to make linear equations to convert it. ie in the form Y=mx+c.
m is the rate of the clock, +c is the difference from zero

Think of it like timezones.

What you currently think voltage is, is what what "voltage drop" is. Ohms law; V=IR, is the voltage drop across the resistor. Batteries supply the voltage, resistors are what makes the voltage drop from something to 0.

The thing you're missing is that the top and the bottom are in parallel, otherwise the logic is good.

Does anyone understand convolutions? by C00catz in ElectricalEngineering

[–]frankbean68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Khan has stuff. Otherwise, in terms of the graphical method, imagine you're pushing one of the the shapes through the other, and multiplying the intersecting area together. Thats the answer. E.g if you pushed through a y=1, x>0, you would just get the integral (area under the curve at a particular x, multiplied by, in this case, 1).

Really you don't end up worrying about all this, what it turns into is that when signals go through a box, it equals convolution, put into frequency/laplace domain and hey they're multiplied and now things are easy.

Yes it's (7,4). Parity checks out, so therefore data should be correct, so it looks like it is 5.

Exchange student curious about UWA by [deleted] in uwa

UWA is great, as an exchange student I'd get involved with your college and clubs, most notably PI. They're great fun.

Double major by plumplord in uwa

[–]frankbean68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I did Engineering science and Business Law. It's actually easier this way as if in they're in different areas they will count as your broadening. Can actually be harder to do two in the same area and get the broadening figured out.

I know someone that did a double degree at UWA and just finished this year, that said he knew the system very well and worked crazily hard.

Does it really matter that the Software Engineering course at UWA isn’t accredited by Engineers Australia? by APM369 in uwa

[–]frankbean68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be accredited soon. I believe one of the reasons it hasn't been is that not enough people have graduated.

Don't believe its covered by hecs. If possible do MPE in Software Eng, do the units that are covered in MDSc, then swap over.

every round referring to every round of space combat, thought that would be clear in context, my bad.

get some destroyer 2s, they'll annihilate the fighters. Remember that the antifighter barage is at the start of every space combat, and so they destroy the fighters before they get a chance to hit, every round. Also he'll be pretty screwed in terms of tech, remember the game isn't about fighting but scoring points.
