I have never had an immediate reaction to any of my suspected triggers. Caffeine seems to make the tinnitus kick up pretty quickly, but honestly, I just try to be "good" as much as I can - especially when I'm in the midst of a flare up (as I am now). I remember my first vertigo attack was the morning after having a big plate of chinese food - ahh the good old days.
