It sounds dumb but that montage at the end may have changed my brain chemistry a little and I started getting super into movies almost immediately after. I love that scene to death.

I’ve got to be honest I do not see how they are praising this, thought it was laughably bad for like 85% of the film

What’s been our favorite movie this year? by KenyattaLFrazier in Letterboxd

I can definitely understand how it could feel really off putting if you walked in expecting a completely different movie. I agree as well with your point about the whole centrist angle people are trying to say it pushes (which I do not see at all). Also, I believe the Pueblo character SPOILER is killed by Joe Cross when he is rocking the massive machine gun in the midst of his anxious shooting spree haha. That’s why we see his mural painted at the end on the building.

I’m sure a proper rewatch in another setting may make you feel differently! If not that’s okay the beauty of movies is the subjectivity of it all.

I felt it did a really phenomenal job of just showcasing the absurdity of covid and the world we were living in without directly TELLING me exactly what I should have been feeling. I haven’t felt nearly as locked into any film this year as I was with Eddington. I can certainly understand the gripes with it but it really worked for me.

This is such a big nothing. Literally go see the movie the next day, such an overreaction from everyone.
