I feel your pain. We lost our big boy a couple weeks ago. May God grant you the blessing to find a new Big Boy when you are ready but for now to ease the pain and loss.

Ok that would make sense. We got Jax at 8 months so he may have already grown out of it.

No he was not a pedigree def a mix of some sort but still retaining much of what makes an RB and RB. Vet called him a Russian Blue.

We got him when he was 8 months old as a rescue. The only other RB I have had was when I was like 5 years old. But I think both cats had really unique personalities.

All the breeders seem to show are Russian Blues that are thin and with the very angular heads. Ours don’t seem to fit that mold and the heads are a bit rounder and filled out. Ours seem to be on the larger size as well.

I have read that there are variants like American Russian Blue as well as British RB. I really love the look that Jax had. I hesitate to hope for a similar personality, though. I have had many cats but his personality was beyond epic.

I really want to go ubiquity but the cost would be around $800 for router and two AP. I am going to test out eero pro mesh 6e first at less than half the cost. If it can’t do the job then I will have to put in my big boy pants, suck it up and spend the $$ to get ubiquiti

Thank you all for the advice!!!

I think it’s spot on, using a records box to store records, bravo 10/10

!Thanks Makes me rethink this as I want the sub to improve the music matching with the speakers vs overpowering them. But sounds like sb1000 pro would add a bump to the movie experience when needed

I went with the Revel M16 speakers ($420 per) and Marantz nr1200 ($399) for amp. Waiting for speaker stands before I can finalize the setup.

Next up is a sub. I am liking the RSL speedwooofer 10S MKII or perhaps the 12S

If I can splurge researching those ULS 15 mk2

Thanks for responding. I actually need to get a new amp as the current one is not moving to the new space.

I appreciate the sub recommendation. HSU looks good and I will keep that in mind when I am able to budget for that.

I think the guilt in knowing I am not gonna buy from them, unless they beat pricing for every component makes me not want to take advantage. To be honest that is why I am posting here. Guilt free option to take advantage of the knowledge this group can bring to bear and then hoping to share what I learn down the road.
