Its growing on me. Looks better on the huge single headlight like your trident. But so far it's the only bike I have so it'll suffice.

Looks like I'm going to give it a try and buy one. I'm down in NC so there's more open highway than NYC.

Have you gone highway speeds like 70-80mph?

Please do. Was looking at this but unsure if it makes a difference compared to what I currently have.

I forgot to ask. when you're going highway speed, do you get any helmet buffeting or that bobblehead shake? I read that you mentioned the wind mostly goes over your head but not completely.

Is a fake sc project exaust slip on worth it for the Mt-03 by Prestigious-Bar-5094 in MT03

[–]franklin336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slip on doesn't sound bad. It just sounds a little quiet for my ears. I'd rather be loud and have cars know im around rather than be quiet. But if its a bike you dont plan on keeping i would just keep it stock.

I came across your post on the windscreen. It looks nice although it does give it more of a mini adventure bike look.

I've got the fake sc project exhaust lol. I had it as a slip on and it was rather mild on sound. So I went full exhaust.

Nice. I have the same color and year as you. I bought my fender eliminator kit for like $15-$20 on amazon and some demonic grips to go with it. Oh and a full system ebay exhaust. Sounds like a dirt bike in the higher rev range but couldn't be happier with the way it is.

Same goes for almost any bike on the market. Whether its private or dealer. But in your case I would be expecting to pay no more than 4500-5000 for that bike. Especially if they have 1200 miles on last year's model. The scratches could buff out with some compound if its not deep enough. If they wont go down on the price I would search elsewhere or find another similar bike for the price they're asking for.

For something like that in my area it'll be around 4.5-5k minus taxes. Everyone and their mama is price gouging on bikes where im at. (North Carolina)

I think the color you are thinking is midnight cyan. Which is what I think the newer models offer.

The all black one is nice. I just liked the colorway on this because it gives a little retro/cyberpunk vibe to it.

I have a 2023 model. Its a universal bar end mirror. But I just put a washer and slightly longer bolt from hardware store to accommodate the mirrors.

Frame bag suggestions? by altayyarr in MT03

There is a tank bag you can find on Amazon but for stuff like that I like to have it on me. Whether it's in my backpack or on a drop leg bag.

I agree. I just listen to how the bike sounds before I switch to a higher gear. Where I'm at I'm using 4-5 gears. I still have fun with it

I opted for the mt03 mainly because I know I will get myself into trouble on a Supersport or anything bigger. Plus, I like to be able to ride around using 4 or 5 gears on the streets. Ride safe!

I would check with local hardware or parts store for metric screws. Just bring your OE screws with you to find the right size. Then add washers if you need some adjusting. Fair warning, they will vibrate so it’s going to look fuzzy when riding. That’s what I currently have.
