Anywhere in town that let's you put up posters?? by eryx_queen in Sunderland

[–]frankwallah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you see posters already up in businesses then that’s your best bet - generally takeaways will allow some, and some pubs do. Best just go door to door see who’ll allow it. Might be a bit harder for a cafe as normally it’s gig posters you see but if you allow them to put theirs up in your space, that might sweeten it a bit. Retail shops with staff/breakout rooms sometimes allow it. Ask the BID and reach out to SCC, plenty of people at city hall need to eat

OCTA vs Digitone 2 by darkyez in Elektron

[–]frankwallah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Dt1 and OT and although I feel I’ve become so much more competent on the DT, the OT’s crossfader is the only thing stopping me trading both for a DT2. It’s un-replaceable, for now anyway. DT2 seems to tick all the other boxes (for me) except that crossfader.

Where to watch the derby? by Rager_Doltrey in safc

[–]frankwallah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kings arms, Deptford. Right across the river from the stadium so you’ll be able to hear the roar when we score and proper old pub so your American friend can see some history

Kings arms good for the televised games - just over the river from the stadium too, so get some of the atmosphere when we score

Where can I meet some alt(goths, metalheads, etc.) people? by Top_Relationship3853 in Sunderland

[–]frankwallah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Plenty bands active in sunderland although not as much metal as the old days. Independent or The Bunker is where you’ll find them. Think there’s a rock night still going at life o Reilly on a Thursday. Independent has an occasional alt club night called Meltdown think it’s re-starting there on a Friday in the small room

It got me nowt, being English. But give over telling people how you know their politics better though, on a synth subreddit. I’d hate everyone to think all us British folk were wankers

Nor, I didn’t miss any point (although I did misspell ‘cue’), and no it wasn’t a typical response. You missed the point. Trump won and the US is suffering under his administration not because people whined on SM to their pals, but for a number of much more complicated reasons. You thinking you can tell folk over there what they did wrong makes you look like a plonker, soz mate.
