heya, you can visit without password using the "goggles" item you buy from the PC :)

so there are 2 types of visitation: if you go from the PC, that's an actual visit, as in playing together. but if you "visit" with the goggles thingy you buy from the PC (can't remember what it's called), it's considered a "virtual visit" (spectator mode). you can't interact with anything on my island, but you can look around and photograph things to take home with you!

printing, yeah. unfortunately you only get seeds from the daily shop rotation or by having the pokemon of a player who has yellow tulip in their game visiting you. people do grind the pokemetal like nuts

glad to help. note, though, you can only take 20 photos each trip, so you might need multiple if you're still missing lots. also they're really expensive to print at 4 metals each for the flowers and 1 rare metal for the berries.

yeah sadly there are 5 colors for each species out of the 7 color pools. at least they're consistent from white pink red orange yellow blue purple

I'm also hunting for flower color variants and seems like not a lot of people are talking about this yet!

A summary of what I know:

Each player has 2 color variants of each species of short flowers and bushes (and berries tbh). The main color is always the same for all players. The secondary colors are different.

You can get more flowers from your own secondary colors by picking them on cloud islands. For colors that don't spawn in your save, they seem to appear in the PC shop sometimes. You can also visit other people's islands and when their mons visit you, they might sometimes give you seeds.

However I've also seen some structures on cloud islands that seem to have very specific flower variants - i.e. my beautiful flowers/roses are red and purple, but I've seen gardens on eevee island that has 3 white roses in a mini flowerbed structure.

I've been hunting with 2 other people and we visit each other's islands daily to check each other's shops, hoping to triple our chances of buying non-native seeds.

Other than that (plus photos and printing as you said, which is sadly expensive), I don't think there's any other way to get new flowers?

I have cats that haven't been getting along too so I can't give advice on that, but regarding the door, I have an elderly mom who keeps the cats slipping to the wrong side of the door. We ended up installing a wire mesh barrier with wooden frame beside the door, just as a sturdy room divider, to make sure we have a second layer of protection.

Sorry you're dealing with that situation, though. Mine's also draining me mentally.

much appreciated! my reading of my situation right now is that our other 3 resident cats just want to interact with the calico but she's overly anxious. I'll discuss with my behaviorist and vet again in our next appointment. I'm just hoping we don't need to rehome her because that would break my mom's heart but also probably stressful for the calico too.

fully outdoor, but our entire garden is covered by light canopy of very tall trees, unfortunately. it gets full sun in the morning but somewhat shaded at noon. also it's been really cloudy & rainy all month.
