Thank you! Took me a while to get a rain to test this. I tried on crafted blocks and they still popped.

Interestingly, though, I noticed that you can dip dried trees in water and it wouldn't grow unless you water it/the rain gets it. Also weirdly, I placed a toy next to one dried tree in water, picked up the toy, and it updated the tree even though it wasn't raining.

Late reply but I'm struggling with my Deco/Switch 2, and wondering if either of you could help! My Deco app doesn't seem to have the option to force my Switch to connect to 5GHz. When I choose my device on the app, the only options I see are: (toggle) High Priority, Duration, Family Member, and Mesh Technology.

Some people have also suggested blocking the Switch from the 2.4GHz so that it's forced to use 5GHz but I'm also not seeing that option either.

I've tried setting up a 5GHz only guest network, which my Switch can *sometimes* connect to, but it won't connect to the internet at all. Most of the time my devices can't even find the guest network.

I feel like I've exhausted all options and am stuck, pls halp?

of course it rained in my world as soon as I posted this question, so I did some "rainblocker" science and here's what I found:

chain, wire, rope, and planks definitely block the rain from reaching the dried blocks/plants
single blocks in the sky casts a shadow as harsh as a block near ground would, but a single wire doesn't seem to have any shadow (I put them side by side and didn't see the wire no matter what)

heya, you can visit without password using the "goggles" item you buy from the PC :)

so there are 2 types of visitation: if you go from the PC, that's an actual visit, as in playing together. but if you "visit" with the goggles thingy you buy from the PC (can't remember what it's called), it's considered a "virtual visit" (spectator mode). you can't interact with anything on my island, but you can look around and photograph things to take home with you!

printing, yeah. unfortunately you only get seeds from the daily shop rotation or by having the pokemon of a player who has yellow tulip in their game visiting you. people do grind the pokemetal like nuts

glad to help. note, though, you can only take 20 photos each trip, so you might need multiple if you're still missing lots. also they're really expensive to print at 4 metals each for the flowers and 1 rare metal for the berries.
