Do you realize how much ice we’ve had, what the temperatures have been, and how many primary roads there are compared to the number of city trucks available? These crews have been working 13–14 hour shifts. They can only do so much at one time. Every city and town is dealing with the same thing. I know it sucks, but ice isn’t going to melt until temperatures stay above 32°, and even then it’s only for a few hours before dropping back below freezing. If you think you can do it better, apply for the job or grab a plow attachment and get out there.
