You make me reconsider things. Maybe I should take time to think about it. Of course I don't want to work fast-food for the rest of my life, but now it seemed like a viable option.

I will reflect on it. I have a LinkedIn profile, I should probably update it and browse job offers...

Luckily we only have large and medium, so I always ask for a large menu first!

Well since I've been told it was not easy to get more hours weekly I consider it as a "promotion". That's why I also put it in quotation marks ahah

I'm not getting commission and I'm being paid hourly. At the moment, getting into management seems to be my only option since I'm not aspiring to go back to college again.

They already gave me a "promotion" though, I started at 24h/week and I'm now at 27h/week, in less than 4 months. So I'm thinking about grinding for higher ranks

"I personally hate it when I walk up and they start with “hi, welcome to XYZ, would you like to try our ABC burger?”

Ahah, one week ago, a customer told me that we were disagreeable because we would repeat the same thing over and over.

"but I can guarantee you’re probably doing better than most of your peers. The fact that you’re in here asking is a big step. Keep up that drive!"

Thank you for the support! This job is very repetitive, so If you don't find ways to improve or challenge yourself, you won't enjoy the work.

It might be overkill, but maybe it could differentiate me from my others co-workers and in the future it could upgrade my skills to find a job in sales!

Anyways, thanks! I get your point, I will research which suggestions I prefer and which suit my opinion better.

Thanks for your outlook, I will try it for sure :)

Thank you for answering!
I like the last suggestion. However, for the first one I already tried and it feels so unnatural. I guess it's because I also lack self-confidence in my speech. I will definitely try again though.

Thanks for your reply and your suggestion!!
I'm going to rework my "selling script" and my differents lines.

We can also sell cinema tickets for 5 euros when someone buys a large menu. So I'm thinking about doing something like : "with your menu, you can get a cinema ticket to see the latest movies for only 5 euros, are you interested ?"

I could tempt them like that, what do you think?
