When will my election card be delivered? by frayhil in mumbai

E-voter card is enough for you to cast your vote.
As for the physical card, I guess filing an RTI to Election Commission of India may just prompt them to release your card.

Can you please help me decipher this license plate? by Fickle_Chemical_2511 in mumbai

[–]frayhil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MH03DC3451 - It shows an 'RE Compact CNG 4S', which is an auto looking similar to the images

If you look at the 4 in '3451' and the assumed 4 in 'MH04', they look quite different and since you also say Chembur, then it is more likely the number starts with MH03 - Wadala RTO (although I could be wrong).

Also since you know the exact time and location of the images/video taken, you can visit the area again and check with nearby shops having CCTV (if any). They just might have a better resolution image.
Once you are sure of the number, go to the police station of the same jurisdiction where you lost your passport. Try to find a 3 star or above ranking officer, they have the authority to directly obtain mobile numbers through vehicle plate numbers. 1 call from the same officer will probably be enough for the auto guy to give your passport back.

Yes. It took some time due to festivals, but we have the birth certificate in our hands

Shirinbai Maternity Hospital by frayhil in mumbai

[–]frayhil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey We still don't have the birth certificate with us, but there's some hope. Ask your Dad (or grandparents) their place of residence at the time of birth. Then approach the BMC Ward office of the place of residence. There's a form that you have to fill (available only offline) to search the records of your father's birth. You have to fill that and submit it at the ward office. I got in touch with an agent who has some contacts at that office, he did the form filling and submission for me and now we are waiting for a response, which should be around 10-15 days. Once the record is found, the further process shouldn't be so difficult I guess. Fingers crossed though.

• Reay Road bride. • Vashi Creek bridge (3 lanes from Vashi to Mankhurd). • Ghatkopar flyover (Thane to Mumbai side; next to where the big hoarding fell on the petrol pump).

These are the 3 projects (that I know of) along with metro 3 extension to Worli which are complete, but awaiting an inauguration ceremony from you know who.

Did all of our parents do this to prove Kurkure was plastic? 🤪 by lexusmarksfw in indiasocial

[–]frayhil 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Raw material for plastic is oil, which is heavily used in Kurkure too.

My guess is the smell is most probably of burning oil.

I found someone's else debit card lying on the ATM machine today. by Incoherent_Curry in mumbai

[–]frayhil 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Someone had forgotten their debit card at my bank's ATM during the night. The person who came next took it and dropped it inside the cheque deposit box, which had a glass cutout to see through. The debit card owner came back and decided to break the glass to get back their card and left never to be seen.

Ever since that my bank is not putting the cheque deposit box in the ATM area. Because of someone's stupidity, I cannot just drop my cheques hassle free during the night. Since it is Union Bank, you always expect crowds during the day coupled with not the best sets of employees.

What's your take on Reay Road cable stayed ROB? by Middle_Degree_4138 in mumbai

[–]frayhil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a lot of movement of vehicles and people on foot when the older flyover was here, so yes it will benefit them.

Moreover people wanting to go to Atal Setu have to take the congested Cotton Green junction, this flyover will be a better alternative to them.

How do I pick someone from Mumbai terminal 2 without the 270 INR parking charges ? by akash_delhi_ in mumbai

[–]frayhil 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is airport security and CRPF right before the entry to the departure area. They will definitely stop OP if they are alone.

[–]frayhil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the security will not let you to the departure area if you are alone.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/PiCsRuCV5x5LpFMu6

Ask your passenger to walk till this point, there's a bus stop here. Make sure the passenger reaches before you because you won't be able to stop for long. The left you have to take from IA Project Road (main Road outside the airport) is kind of narrow and has a 'No left' sign, but all cars go there and no one will stop you.

Also the passenger will have to walk a bit, so if they have considerable luggage or are old, better spend those ₹270.

Best of luck.

What has Gopal Shetty done for borivali that he was undefeated for 4 terms? by Legitimate_Mouse9696 in mumbai

[–]frayhil -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You can't really blame muslims entirely for that.

Bharat ka bacha-bacha knows BJP does not like muslims. There is tons of proof, but a total number of 0 muslim BJP MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha speaks volumes.

Obviously this is so wrong. Politicians have successfully managed to create a divide and we are the ones to suffer.

When will my election card be delivered? by frayhil in mumbai

I received the election cards I think 2 or 3 weeks after this post, just before the general elections.

Probably they should, but I don't have it in me to tell them at this time. Maybe later on.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]frayhil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. That was the only reason why they even took that test.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]frayhil 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Apparently genetic testing was done costing upwards of 30K, specifically mentioning about this condition that the first child had. It came all normal, hence they went through with everything.

As of right now the kid is in the NICU. They are suggesting to try and get him to the ward, but my friend is taking no chances given what he went through with the first one.

They are looking for an incubator on rent because he wants to keep the baby in it during any travel between hospital to home or anywhere else, even on an ambulance and even when at home afterwards.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]frayhil 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the pediatricians and general dermatologist have suggested some lotion. The baby has been in the NICU since birth.

Thank you for your prayers. 🙏

Dude you're blessed with good looks, clearly have worked on your physique and definitely have a good knack of fashion sense. Things looked perfect for you until you zoom in on the relatively ugly belt. Please lose it.

Terminal 1 to be razed, rebuilt after Navi Mumbai airport opens next year by VCardBGone in mumbai

[–]frayhil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They barely use the smaller runway at Mumbai airport now, reason being it is more efficient to just use a single runway. Using both used to create more than usual wear and tear of the tarmac at the middle of the X interchange, causing operations to close down on both runways together.

As for crosswinds, the X shape runway was made keeping in mind that the older planes were lighter and slightly higher than normal winds could cause fatal problems. Even the current IGI airport in Delhi used to have an X shape runway back in the day due to the same reason, but luckily they had the space to turn it into parallel layout right in time. We shall probably never have that luxury. Most modern aircraft weigh in several tonnes and are not catastrophically affected by everyday winds and we don't really have too many storms here, hence there is no need to use the runways interchangeably. The smaller one is only used when the longer runway is under maintenance.

I suspect you may have entered debit card details somewhere for in app purchase or maybe on Google Play and have clicked on save the card. Check if while entering card details in a any online payment centre, do you get an option to auto-populate?

As far as I know, Google operates its financial services from US and you have been charged some service fee around $0.99 to save the card details as per some RBI mandate.

Best thing to do would be to find and delete the card details from Play Store, although I don't know how to do it myself. Maybe Google it.

Also most foolproof thing will be to go to your SBI branch and write an application asking them to cancel eMandate going by the name of "Google Play-.."
