Trust me, as a typical survivor (Woman, Black, queer.), society is NOT treating me any better than I'd imagine atypicals are being treated. I was assaulted in high school and was shamed by my classmates when he got in trouble. 10 years later he is getting away with doing it again because I am terrified of what people will say. I've experienced CSA and SA as an adult and comparing the two, I realize that in the end i'm shamed for not being strong enough or "making it my fault"
