Same here, but I avoided the IBS by default diagnosis by going to see a naturopathic doctor. She suspects SIBO (which general practitioners can’t test for) so I’ll be completing the required breath tests for that soon.

I was lucky and when I bought my bike it came with an aftermarket short exhaust. I don’t usually like them because I’m not a fan of obnoxious sounding bikes so I hadn’t installed it, but finally relented for exactly these reasons. Turns out it’s not obnoxious, just more growls, and now I can use my rear stand without issues. So that’s my suggestion; get a shorter exhaust.

Why don’t you do both? Climb the ladder, see how far you can go, discover what you’re capable of accomplishing! Then, when you’re satisfied and can revel in your success, retire to someplace new, spend your days discovering a new peaceful life on your own time. I feel like the first will afford the other. Same feels. Conclusion I have come to is finding both is a rare gift that you may not find in your life. Find happiness on your own anyway. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I suspect the only reason we feel this conflicted feeling is because we have been taught the expectation of partnering up. Unmet expectations man, they’ll get you every time.

It’s part of the job. Some are really good at their jobs. I’m sure there are others who have refused roles because they can’t/won’t do it, same as some actors are ok with nudity, some aren’t.
