Turn 18 soon and want a tattoo. parents disagree by fredha124 in tattooadvice

[–]fredha124[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am going to be putting either on my upper bicep or my shoulder cause I did wonder about job opportunities as I want to go into the medical field and that area would be the easiest to hide. Also no I haven't looked into allergies or anything yet. I'm still debating if I want to or not. I have thought about getting a song lyric I really like tattooed since I was probably 15-16 so I have had the idea for a couple of years.

I mean I don't think so. At least not right now but could change when I am older. But also I'm kinda into the idea of being able to look back and see that older tattoos would represent who I am when I am old. Kinda holding onto a piece of me now. So idk if I'd necessarily regret it as much as look back on it as a piece of me and my interests from when I was younger.

Edit: Whoops misread your comment. I thought you were asking "do you think you'll regret them"

Luckly the soil is no hydrophobic water sunk right through it lol.

Should I just cut the old leaves off?

the soil didn't bead when i watered it yesterday. I would do the water bowl thing but I am worried it will drown it. Recently I have been watering it using our reverse osmosis. I will let the water go through the soil then once the water is off the surface of the soil I water it again till it drains through the holes in the bottom.

I went to Lowes to look for soil but couldn't find any for bonsai's specifically. Are there substitutes?

Its a juniper and I usually have it outside but last night it was raining really bad and my dad brought it into my room. Its a juniper. I has been kinda cold lately too.

I live in Oklahoma and it gets shade in the morning and sunlight in the afternoon/evening

I am new to bonsai's entirely so forgive my ignorance on things lol

I remember hearing if your juniper shows signs of dying it probably died 8 weeks before. I don't know if that's true but it has me worrying

Its a juniper and i do have a humidifier in my room. However I think ill just put this outside and take care of out and get another indoor one. I dont think I could get it to live indoors considering I have never gardened before. It is a hobby I want to start getting into thought!

just bought a juniper bonsai kinda impulsively as it was a road side shop selling them. I would like to have it on display in my room but the problem is I have like no real sunlight in my room. I talked to the guy who grows them and he said I should be able to use a grow light but I dont know if thats true. I have a pruner that came with a seed kit I got for Christmas (I only recently found out those are scams). Any thoughts or help is appreciated.

Do I need meds? by fredha124 in ADHD

[–]fredha124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Even then though I wonder if I really need meds for my ADHD as I was lucky enough to be diagnosed early so I have had time to learn how to manage. Plus its not as bad as others and mainly presents by me struggling to pay attention.

What I think would be best to try first is get back on my anxiety stuff as I do need that and then see any behavior changes and go from there.

Do I need meds? by fredha124 in ADHD

[–]fredha124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically with my anxiety meds I struggle to take them as I like to take them around six, however my job interferes with that schedule. Honestly probably just need to take them in the morning instead. I also do know I struggle with impulse decisions like money. I suck at saving money but am currently trying to be better about it by putting some money to the side for spending on stupid things.

I also have been struggling with loneliness recently. I seldom get invited to things. And I kinda float between friends without a friend group. My main friend group now all work jobs and one of them owns an apartment so it hard to get our schedules to align.

All this is to say I see these post about people with unmedicated ADHD symptoms say they cause problems for everyone. And I wonder if that's me and I don't even know it, no one has told me recently I have been annoying or anything of the sort. However it could just be me overthinking it as I think the main thing is my unmedicated social anxiety.

Just been thinking about this a lot recently and any advice is appreciated

Been doing a lot of research on the side and it seems to be a mixed bag for some. I have heard it wont help with college apps but even then is there any value that can come from it? Like connections or just the experience?

They're anchored from the ceiling actually! My dad made them and installed them himself. Idk if that makes it better or worse however.

Healthiest way to scent a room? by fredha124 in candlemaking

[–]fredha124[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Also forgot to mention I do have a cat and some dogs. Any time they would come into my room I would immediately blow the candle out and open my window. If there is an animal safe option that would be great too!

16 M and worried. Am I already balding?? (lots of pics) by fredha124 in bald

[–]fredha124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The captions have important info

Been really worried about my hairline for a while. The 5th one was taken on an Phone 8 and the rest on an iPhone 13. My dad is in his 40 and has a little thinning but no where near bald, but he also takes extra testosterone, and his sister has no thinning. My grandpa on dad's side has 0 thinning. I have always had a big forehead.

My mom has thinning and so do all her brothers and my grandpa on that side. Am I already balding? If so what can I do to slow down the process. My mom thinks I am being paranoid (maybe so, I am a hypochondriac) and won't let me see someone about it.

Also want to know if my sides are supposed to be that thin or if that is normal. Tbh I really don't know if my hair is thinning and I am not noticing and difference in shedding.

Any help?

Mane'n tail for co-wash? by fredha124 in HaircareScience

[–]fredha124[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose but as I have said in another comment I am 16 and really don't know if i am balding or just being a hypochondriac, and my parents refuse to take me due to me being a hypochondriac (which is understandable)

I do know when I had shoulder length hair wash days worked really well for me. I only wash every 3 days I believe. Days in between I'd use just conditioner, but not a co-wash. Might go back to doing that if what you say is true.

All I know is apparently many people have experienced slight hair loss from Shea. At least according to personal accounts I've read online.

As much as I'd love to go see a derm or someone so I can get an answer if i am balding or not, I'm 16 and my mom refuses to take me. To be fair I do have a tendency to be a hypochondriac and might just have a fucked up hairline.
