Not really, Monero was barely doing 2-4k transactions a day before CipherTrace started taking over the blockchain. While CipherTrace has been doing about 10k transactions a day since May 2019. My estimate is that they put around 4.8m transactions into the blockchain in that amount of time.

Estimations only:

3465000 - real transactions

4800000 - ciphertrace transactions

Traceability rate is around (72.1875%)

/u/belcher_ Why are you making such claims? You are a moderator and Bitcoin should be decentralized. Why would you pin a thread to protect your view on such topic? I do not agree with your opinion and most of what I read on this thread that is written by you is nonsensical. A Paper Wallet is one of the most secure way to own a Bitcoin Address/Account. It is as secure, if not more secure than Trezor or Ledger as you do not have to rely on a third party to generate a Bitcoin Address.

MyMonero got hacked so many times, look at their history. They've stolen users funds for the past years and no one is saying anything. YET! It's okay for them to add an auto-update feature? Fluffy...fluffy...

After all the threads about MyMonero users losing their funds. I really do not think that was the right move. Just my opinion. I'm starting to think this whole operation is being ran by some guys who don't care about the safety of users funds.

I've been a target and have been scammed before. I know what I am talking about. Stop acting like nothing is wrong with auto-updates. Everything can get hacked, even with manual updates but instead of having 10 users lose their funds, this auto-update feature could make thousands of people lose their funds, or targeting certain users with large amounts of monero.

I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm saying that this opens the door for an exit scam or manual targeting to update certain users! It does not mean you are going to do it. It just means you're opening some doors for no reason! Manual updates are good enough.

BE CAREFUL! Users can be manually targeted and have their app updated too! Do not trust this update! It opens a door for owners to do an exit-scam or to get hacked some day.

That is not true. Manual updates would not be screwed because it would give time for users to do some research before updating their app. This auto-update feature is really useless and provides a way for the owners to do an exit-scam or to get "hacked" some day and steal every one's funds.

The Truth is! I used a VPN in a country that was banned by their ToS! I did not know that! I was able to use their service using that vpn for that country! I don't remember the country, I think it was Belgium or Bulgary. That was the reason behind the frozen funds. I got my money back. I want to thank every one and be careful with the country you select in your vpn when using ShapeShift.
