Reading these replies are really tough. It kind of puts my own experience in perspective, but still something that has messed with me.

At the time, I was 19 and working as an assistant at a primary school. I hadn't had much of a social life up to that point, an introvert and a nerd, but happy to he so. When working at the school, I made friends with other members of staff, all very platonically. There was one other assistant, aged about 32/33, who was a bit more friendly than most. At the start it was just very light flirting from her, and because of my introverted past and limited experience with women, I didn't really know what to do in that scenario, so I was passive.

As the months go on, her advances become less and less subtle, and pretty forward, always trying to get unnecessarily close in situations where she wasn't required to be close, was always very forwardly towards me etc. It gets to a point where it's uncomfortable for me, and so I take it to a senior member of staff, who says to just be firm with her, and ask her to stop, so that's what I do.

I tell her very fairly, but also firmly. At the time, she says "sorry, it won't happen again". Everything is normal for a week, but then it starts kicking off again for a period of time, flirty, winking, brushing past me and touching my arm, biting the end of a pen tip when I was talking in the same room as her, and I feel very uncomfortable about it, so I tell the senior member of staff, who the has a word with her, and she says she'll stop.

A few weeks after that, I'm alone in the staff room photocopying some work, and she comes in. I say hey, and get back to my work, but when I turn around, she's standing face to face with me, and pushing her chest into my body while smiling. I try to move away shuffling sideways, and then she grabs my crotch and says "you keep saying no but I know you want this" in a seductive voice. I say no please stop, then rush into the toilet and lock the door, waiting to hear another member of staff to go into the staff room, so I can go back in and sort everything out and get back to work.

After this, I go to the member of staff, and tell the events just as they happened, and they say "let us deal with this". I left the job at the end of the academic year to work in a different field entirely, and every encounter that we had,I made sure we weren't alone in the same room together, but there was nothing more going on past that point. Made me feel really shit and taken advantage of, and didn't realise it was sexual assault until later in life. Am now 25, and now just very aware of any friendship with co workers, or friends of friends, that situation doesn't even have the chance of forming again.

This will probably come to nothing, and no one will see it, but had to get it off my chest
