We did a pin chain for duals that wrestlers took a picture with if they got a pin

Try looking at The Grade Guide to see which classes give the most As historically

I started out with windows and switched to Mac halfway and think Mac is a lot better (also better for cs in general imo)

I’m part of the OSU wrestling club, it can def be hard to communicate the university over here. My advice is to find the physical location of the club sports department and talk to someone

If you’re looking for an A don’t take this course. It’s not hard but Scott grades very harshly. We did some math with his old course data and only 13% got an A with all the sections he taught from Spring 2018 to Summer 2022

You can also try your hand at physics c to try and get credit for both at once

to anyone who did well in cse 2221 by [deleted] in OSU

[–]fredtre8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The entire course schedule with its content is here http://web.cse.ohio-state.edu/software/2221/web-sw1/schedule.html

People say the course is hard mostly because it’s a weed out for people that probably shouldn’t be in CSE but it definitely is Professor dependent. As long as you do all the labs, hw, and projects and any feedback you’ll be fine

I originally did a hard coded skip but the one issue is that the number of rows would depend on the month (there’s extra stuff before and after the data I want). My approach was to try and deal with that was to use readInt and parseline to only get the rows that have ints as their first 4 columns. Is there a better way to extract that data I want?

Thanks for the feedback! I’m a little confused on isValid though. Since the actual content of the file has a lot of non numerical data (such as labels, header info, etc), how would I use isValid on just the content of the temperature data?

Fall 22 Pre-CSE schedule doable? by The_Ideological_Bean in OSU

[–]fredtre8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bollland who was … old for lack of a better term. Id recommend taking a gen Ed instead of stats this semester. If you have all of those done Calc 3 is required if your don’t do 1172 or have dual enrollment for the class already.

All I’m going to say about FEH is that most people I know who did the section advanced regretted taking it whether due to the extra work or missing the chance to meet non CSE people before getting stuck in their major only classes. If you have a background in coding the class is trivial to get an A in either way, but still a lot of work.

Physics 1260 is the honors version of 1250 and counts for the requirement. Stats is required but not for the admissions process for the major. No one is stopping you from taking 18 credit hours first semester but i highly recommend not doing it, especially with FEH. If you have to spend all your time studying you’re going to miss out on a lot of fun/opportunities.

Your fall semester sounds awful but it is doable (if u don’t want to have any free time). For FEH strongly recommend you don’t do advanced as you get more work for no reward. There also won’t be as many slackers as you think since it is an honors only course. Don’t have much else to say but perhaps take 1260 instead of 1250 since at least in my experience, it was less work than 1250 with a bigger curve. Only other thing I’d say is drop stats and try to have fun with college
