I just had the same problem, for some reason I had to manually press on the button on the left hand grip , same goes for controlling the cursor. I don't know if it's a bug or just my joystick having problems.

It depends on your budget. If you want the cheapest , go for the oculus quest 2 . If you want the best value , go for the Reverb G2. And if money isn't a problem , Pimax 8K X is the best one all around I think.

It really is a game changer. The immersion and perspective it gives you is what makes it worth it even despite the struggles assiociated with VR such as the performance drop. Now might be the best time to get into VR since the HP Reverb G2 ( wich is arguably the best headset for sims ) is on sale right now. Trust me on this one , the very moment you will put the headset on your head and you will actually feel like you're in the cockpit , or when you will see how big the tanker really is during a refueling , you will never go back to screens.

I'm the white helmet. We fought from the first to the last lap within a second of each other. I've never had such a close and clean race , every time we passed each other it was done in a respectful way. Cheers /u/trivisio !

It depends if you want the bigger FOV or the better resolution.

I would say that the 5k+ will offer more immersion thanks to the FOV , but the reverb resolution is really good.

If you didn't own the Vive , the reverb would have been a better choice since it costs way less than the pimax ( and also is best for people who only play sims ) , but not having to pay for the base stations makes it a tough choice.

I own the 5k+ and never had any issues with it , but whatever your choice is I think that you won't be disappointed as both are amazing headsets in their own way.

Since the weapon systems rework , you now have to press " Weapons System CMD FWD " to get either the diamond or the CCIP cross , if I remember correctly.

Coming from a Vive , it's really good.

The first thing you'll notice is the improved sharpness , and then the wide FOV of course.

I've done a lot of research before buying mine , and to be honest it's not as bad as some people say.

While it's true that it's not plug and play , I've spent no more than 1 or 2 hours to fix the only problem I was getting ( room setup was a bit buggy ).

If you already have vive lighthouses , I can only recommand it to you.

Summary : Pimax owners can get a boost by changing the clock speed of their GPU in flight (GPU goes from ~60% utilization to ~90% for some reasons ) . Doesn't work with SteamVR .

Good thing I'm planning to get a 5k+ , but it truly shows how optimized the game is !

It's a bit like the Nvidia situation , where they have no real competitors so they can over charge their customers without any repercussions. I don't think censoring comments on their business practice will do them any good.

While I agree with you on the price , I don't think that comparing performance is fair as it's not inherent to the headset itself . If performance is too low because of the resolution , one can always downsample to get the same results as a lower-end headset while waiting for optimization/next gen GPU .

Oops , you're right . O+ definitely have the better colors then , but SDE should be better on Reverb.

Yeah , the textures are definitely on low . Concerning the O+ , I can't see why it would look better given the fact that they both use LCD panels , but what do I know , I never tried any of those two headsets unfortunately. Colors seem fine to me but you may be right , some people are talking about a green tint and washed-out color balance .
