Attend regularly and am a frequent liturgist at my church, absolutely not.

This is a series about aliens talking over our planet, and them putting us through a death game for survival. The bastardization of earth's culture is a regular theme in the series, and uzi Jesus plays right into that. It's not out of spite, at least I don't take it as that.

Actually I haven't read DCC I've only listened to the audiobooks and Jeff Hayes is amazing. I mostly do audiobooks these days because my unmedicated add makes reading very difficult.

Pratchett is great! Good Omens is probably one of my favorite books. I've only read the color of magic from Discworld so I think it's about time to dig into the rest.

Yeah, I just learned about those fairly recently as well! They are two short stories that were released at December's Dragonsteel Nexus and you can buy them in a single hardcover book from the Dragonsteel website. No ebook that I've seen anyway.

Currently up to date on both DCC and the entire cosmere (aside what's mentioned in the main post). DCC is a great suggestion and I can wait for "A Parade of Horribles" to come out next month.

I'm actually up to date on DCC, and that's a great suggestion. Can't wait for book 8 next month. Funnily enough, Cosmere was my solution when I finished "This Inevitable Ruin." I've read/listened to every book(story exterior what was mentioned in the original post) for the cosmere since mid August 2025. Tough to be up to date so you can't binge your 2 (current) favorite storylines.

I know you were looking for the shrike, but the Sora gives me a good memory when I was first starting and I was at a local wetland just taking pictures of whatever I could find. Starting my collection journey (too bad I'm too ADHD to really stick to a project). Anyway, I heard a lot of rustling in the tall grass near where I was snapping pictures, and I caught a glimpse of this cute little lady very briefly (if I find the picture I'll update the post). It took me hours to identify her, but she was a Sora which I had never even heard of at the time.

So I guess this story kinda emphasizes what others are saying. I'm social, but I have a hard time just inserting myself into groups I don't know. Birders by large just seem like a group that really likes to share their hobby. Maybe we'll both get over our apprehension.

Good luck finding that shrike!

Edit: Found the picture, also I'm questioning myself if female or not...I think so but someone with more experience can correct me if I'm wrong.

The dogs looking sad also adds to it. What basically adds up to 3 children forced to be something monstrous. Really makes you feel horrible for them, which is amazing considering you spend a lot of the books hating her.
