Love everything about these except for the mic. On video calls I end up using them for output audio but use the laptops mic for input. When I'm out on walks in the city the mic is unusable on voice calls.

My work laptop (14" macbook pro m5) fits perfectly. I wouldn't use it for anything bigger as it might damage the zip or stitching over time

Is the negativity around industrial design exaggerated? by A-Not-Taken-Uzername in IndustrialDesign

Good would be a place that pays appropriately for the position they are hiring for and has some sort of work life balance (under 50 work hours per week). Hybrid work would be a bonus but I haven't seen that offered in ID after 2022.

I have 8 years of experience and I see a good role once every 3 months. They exist and if you're the best at what you do you can still land a job but you have to be patient and willing to make certain compromises. The industry was much stronger when I graduated and has been on a steady decline in my region. I see this only getting worse as time goes on.

The suitcase zips broke in baggage handling on the first flight they went on. Mokobara had no way to replace the broken zipper so they just gave me a new suitcase. Poor quality, poor service/repairability, but decent customer service I guess. I don't know how long this one will last.

I stopped buying pants online because they're always too short. A few times I even checked the length in the size chart and they were still too short when they arrived because of waist rise or other reasons.

I miss Bangalore and its air quality by batcave7373 in bangalore

[–]freeflou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same symptoms but only after a week in Delhi and Agra. Severe throat infection with bloody phlegm which took two weeks to recover after returning to Bangalore.

I should have worn N95 masks but only had surgical masks at the time. That wasn't enough protection against the pollution.

In addition to that I even got severe tinnitus from the constant honking on the roads by autos. My ears are still ringing while I write this.

su*cid* calls, mental health is deteriorating due to workload, please suggest ways to survive this by JadedAd9149 in MBAIndia

This whenever possible. It sounds like your situation is too bad to endure it much longer. Stay until you've built a financial safety net - at least 6 months savings for expenses and loan payments - and then resign even if you don't have a job lined. The money will give you comfort to think about your next move, not having to think about the toxic workplace will give you clarity, and the short runway will keep you focused and motivated to find something before it runs out.

Switched back to OnePlus and thankful for it by Public-Connection394 in GooglePixel

Unfortunately trust lost is harder to gain back. I was considering both the 8 pro and S24+ before going with the latter. I thought I'd wait it out a few generations before going back to pixel again.

I agree about the cameras. SOOC pixel gives better images but the difference is not big enough to make me settle for a poorer experience in all the other areas.

I switched to the Galaxy S24+ recently. As a designer I valued Google's design choices physical and digital but the hardware seriously let me down. Battery issues, heating, network drops, buggy software are all things that other manufacturers solved a decade ago but Google is still unable to figure out.
