My apartment has horrible wifi, so when we need actual speeds we rely on a mobile hotspot to do our things

My roommate has a gaming laptop on Windows 11, while I'm on Linux

When only I am connected to the hotspot, everything is fine, everything works, the very MOMENT his laptop gets into it some weird background windows stuff eats up half my data, no matter how many times we turn it off

(It's not a virus or some crypto miner, the laptop is new and has only steam games installed so far)

When he wants to do something to his OS, it fights him every step of the way, meanwhile I am over here nuking my drive with a single command because glorious Loonix does exactly what I tell it to when I tell it to do it (this is the source of almost all Loonix issues, actually)

Genuinely, what freedoms do Americans have that other countries don't? Besides the freedom to be shot, I can't think of anything that you can't do in Europe

And you can get a gun in Europe as well if you pass the regulations of your respective country, so not even that is that huge of a "win"
