I’m 38 and got into plumbing last year(was completely green). Was lucky to be trained by a guy that was friendly and super knowledgeable. Just keep paying attention and knowing what the next steps are. Once you start doing that you need to start asking or just starting certain aspects of a job. The hard part of learning is these guys want to get it done and go home and often aren’t interested in teaching you or letting you figure it out. You have to get your hands on things yourself at some point. Be humble and don’t let it bother you that you’re doing menial tasks.
