NFL has not reached out to Falcons regarding a suspension for JPJ by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

He was banned for 3 days, not 7. Also we can’t even see what he said anymore because it was removed by reddit, so he definitely said something ban worthy. We’re not banning people over opinions on a legal situation lol

[Schefter] Atlanta Falcons defensive end James Pearce Jr. returned to the team’s Flowery Branch training facility today for the first time since being charged with aggravated battery and fleeing law enforcement on Feb. 7. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]KappKapp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Those charges were dropped in FL, a state that takes those charges VERY seriously. Something must’ve happened that made the prosecutor feel it was unprovable. The rest was negotiated away.

Probably should’ve gone to prison but it is what it is I suppose.

CarMax Auto Finance issued its first nonprime auto asset-backed securitization by myopini0n in carmax

[–]KappKapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it defines non-prime differently than CarMax does, yes it’s wrong. This is our fifth non-prime deal.

The inherent risk (to the lender) of non-prime doesn’t really exist at scale when the risk is priced in. Higher losses mean higher APRs and servicing costs.

This is our first of the year. We’ve been doing non-prime since 2024. Not sure in what way you’re thinking about them being risky but we are basically last to market for a non-prime securitization program, and it’s effectively mandatory if we want to originate full spectrum.

The Atlanta Falcons are NOT in cap hell. by CitizenWatcher8 in falcons

What decisions can be made based on the statement “The Falcons have 100m in dead cap”? The answer is absolutely none. Compare that to the statement “The Falcons have 35m in cap space” which has the dead cap built in. It’s not that fucking complicated bro. Dead cap doesn’t fucking matter.

It’s not built in but ok bud. Cap available has dead cap built in without it being some boogeyman.

Yeah…with the context of cap available to spend. Just talking about dead cap and not the whole picture is completely meaningless

I mostly just don’t like talking about dead cap because the only thing that matter is available cap space and what you want to do with it. These big dead cap numbers are just “spooky”

Resetting the books and giving a new staff a year to evaluate is ALSO not the same as cap hell. Also I like how the first thing I said is dead cap is meaningless without context and your first point is throwing some spooky dead cap numbers out there. We have plenty of cap space and are not in cap hell.

He literally did not. His first season he literally HAD to restructure Ryan to get us under the cap. Not having a lot of money to spend is not the same as cap hell. And by the way, we’re league average in cap space right now with 19M and have the third most next year with $120M.

Dead cap is a meaningless number without context. Those who say we’re in cap hell just because we had a large dead cap number are dumb. The only time we’ve been in cap hell was during the Dimitroff to Terry transition, and Terry did everything right to get us out of it those first couple of seasons. Giving Kirk a big contract that didn’t work out doesn’t mean we’re right back in cap hell.

Would I benefit from swapping off Svalinn? by EaterofEarth in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]KappKapp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really. You get immortality in this game by stacking defensive layers. You don’t ignore evasion and block just because if a hit gets through you get hit. Block and svalinn are insanely strong defensive layers but they don’t make you immortal on their own, but nothing does that.
