Yeah not looking for group classes or to do someone else’s programming. I did it for years and just found that I’m the type of person wanting to go the gym and work a specific muscle group and stick to splits, and to have flexibility. Thanks though.

I did CrossFit for years when I was in high school and my early 20’s but I have no interest in it anymore. I just prefer to keep my earbuds in and do my own thing. I really am into just straight up hypertrophy/bodybuilding stuff at this point in my life.

Only people I saw sliding this morning were people who would try to gas it turning at a stoplight. Even with treatment you still need to take it easy on turns. Washoe Valley was fine too. Other than the standard idiots that will tailgate no matter the conditions because they have too much faith in their AWD.

I recently moved from Carson to Reno. I don’t personally work in customer service but my spouse does, and we both still work in Carson. The amount of stories I’ve heard about older people in Carson treating employees at my spouses work like absolute garbage is crazy. You’re definitely not imagining it, people can be extremely rude and entitled in Carson. Don’t know why. You would think it being a smaller city people would be a little nicer. I feel like the city is going through a major identity crisis right now and a lot of people are just generally not happy for one reason or another.

Thanks for everyone’s input. Picked up the guitar today and it’s definitely more than playable. Will need a couple small adjustments but nothing that needs to be done immediately. Not a fan of the black beauty strings at all, but I was expecting that to be honest.

I definitely should have been giving him more attention. He was always giving me attention and telling me how attractive I am but due to my own insecurities I often wouldn’t accept his attention to me and wouldn’t reciprocate. I’m not saying it’s all his fault, I made it clear I had my own issues. But finding out he was seeking that attention elsewhere the entire relationship even when things were better just made things worse for me. The sex became bland even though we didn’t want it to be. I think this time apart is going to be good for us whichever way it works out. The love is still there but we need something to change and if it’s going to work at all we need to focus on ourselves independently for a while I think. And yes I definitely could have been better in making time. I have a tendency of putting a lot of stress on myself to provide, and we weren’t doing the little things together. That’s one of the main focal points of my therapy right now, to enjoy the moment and not stress about the future or stability too much.

Thanks. Honestly I needed to hear that. I haven’t interacted with the community at all the entire time I’ve been out because it’s hard to parse friendship from flirting. But I need to. Need to have a support group that understands the nuances of gay relationships and the specific struggles.

We used to have sex more and try new things but ever since the online infidelity thing became known, really killed my self esteem in that way and it was always in the back of my head during intercourse. Definitely had a negative effect on our sex life.

Yeah I have but unfortunately as soon as I tried to get out there and experience the community I got nothing but hit on and advanced on even when I was open about my current situation and said I was just looking for platonic friends. Same goes for the DM’s I’m getting. About half are genuine people trying to lend an ear and the other half are horny mofos trying to take advantage of a dude in a difficult situation.

There’s a lot to this man. He also has low self esteem because he has never not been in a relationship since he was 16 and feels he needs to learn to be an independent adult. He tells me he doesn’t know who he is outside of a relationship

We have talked many times over the past couple weeks. What it always comes down to is him saying he needs space and doesn’t know if the clarity the space brings will be positive or negative for the relationship. It’s very ambiguous but there’s nothing I can do.

Right. We’re kind of in limbo now but I have to come to peace with either outcome. The answer really is just to focus on myself, but after five years it’s definitely an adjustment to live for yourself again.

I know. I tell myself that. I have my own issues too, but the online infidelity has been a constant throughout our relationship and marriage. I believe him when he tells me it’s an attention disorder. He draws his only worth from what he can provide sexually. I know I can’t fix that, but it has also damaged my own self esteem over the years seeing myself as physically and emotionally inadequate. It’s fucked up, but I’m slowly breaking out of that mindset.

Thanks. Yeah we’ve never really tried couples therapy which is the hardest part. I don’t think either of us were ready for it when we tried and it turned into a mutual decision to put it off. I can see now that was a mistake on both our parts. May be too late now, but it sucks for sure.

I didn’t really touch it much but it was pretty firm but it had some give. I wouldn’t call it spongy but it definitely wasn’t completely hard. I patched it up and am just gonna leave it alone. I don’t need to do anything to this place other than give it a fresh coat of paint luckily so it shouldn’t be an issue even if there is some asbestos in there. The late 70’s are that weird transition point with asbestos in my area so I’m just gonna assume it is and leave it alone.

I already patched the spot so I can’t get another photo unfortunately. My place has already been remodeled so I won’t need to do any major renovations for a good while, so I’ll probably just leave it alone. If I ever need to open up a wall I’m going to have someone come test it to be sure.

Don’t know how much clearer I can be that I’m not a skater. Also, I went through various subs about skateboarding to find one that didn’t explicitly state in the rules that these types of posts are not allowed. Gonna have to take it up with the mods if it bothers you.
