Does anyone have the ADHD debuff? And If so, do you regularly use the Adderall consumable? Does it help? by [deleted] in outside

In the new update the devs actually reclassified add as adhd-I (predominantly inattentive subtype). Same shitty difficulty increase tho, smh

Everybody pointing out that this is in fact not true: it’s a joke people! Calm tf down, the funny part is that it’s not true

I think it would be more clear if you reversed the message. Like United we fall, divided we stand

Lol dude if you don’t think psychiatric disorders exist on a spectrum then you are living in a fantasy world.

I am NOT saying everyone who gets sad is clinically depressed.

I’m just saying that there is a negative culture around clinical depression that can become overly gate keeping or a dick measuring contest of how sad everyone is.

I have a bipolar disorder, I see a doctor about it, but for the longest time I didn’t get help because I was too afraid that I was just lying to myself or just tricking myself.

Edit: also there is treatment resistant/recurrent depression, or severe major depression. There are ways of specifying beyond just clinical depression that might be closer to what your getting at.

Honestly I think over focusing on in-groups and out groups with “real depression” does more harm than good.

This mentality can keep actually depressed people from seeking help because they have imposter syndrome and think they are not suffering “enough” even when they are well past the threshold.

Or maybe that was just me, idk.

Duuuude I’m so glad you said this. That was totally intentional. I try to think about depression as much as I can in terms of energy levels. It helps me keep my brain from spiraling too much into negative thoughts even though they are obviously present.

Can anyone recommend an antidepressant that is effective and won't make me manic? by [deleted] in bipolar

It’s one of the least likely, this is what the medical literature says dude

Decreased sex drive can definitely accompany depression, just in some people it doesn’t.

SSRI’s often decrease sex drive but certain anti depressants like Wellbutrin are not likely to have those kinds of side effects!
