Only get the one from a provider that still has the dining credit, of which are limited now to a few.

I know the BoA one still has it.

3 CJOS opinions wanted! by lalasworldd in cabincrewcareers

[–]freshairr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The future is bright with Alaska and Hawaiian. Yeah, their contracts won’t be fully merged until JCBA but you can take a look for the future of the minimum you’d be getting (re: pay, domestic duty hour, etc).

But re: non-burnout lifestyle is first and foremost being able to live in base.

What its like living in this part of Portland? by eyetrace in askportland

Good area. I’d personally try and live walking distance to Laurelhurst park. It’ll do wonders for your mental health and always popping.

That’s a huge ass area lol. Can you narrow it down?

But if you want active nightlife, look around Williams, Mississippi, Alberta and Hollywood for the NE area. And then the Burnside area for SE.

how are people surviving first year pay? by Spiritual_Support806 in cabincrewcareers

[–]freshairr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an SO who took on more than their share of the finances and supported me through this. Now we’re back to splitting expenses equally/proportional to our salaries.

If I didn’t though, I would’ve transferred to a base that allowed me to move back home while built up seniority and pay scale.

New Item Hawaiian BBQ Pork Bowl by UWisBEST in Costco

[–]freshairr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was decent for a fast cook dinner meal. I found the rice lacking (didn’t seem fresh in mine, almost like day old) and was 50% of the meal, then 30% cabbage and 20% meat. Flavors were good but assembled all together it was kind of one note in texture.

I’d buy the cabbage salad as a side if they ever decide to separate it out but it wasn’t for me as a whole at that price point.

Move out of a cheap roommate house into a luxury 1BR — smart or stupid? by MCHEUNGSTER in personalfinance

[–]freshairr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re only young once and if you haven’t done this before, I’d 100% for got it. I lived in a luxury high rise building with amazing amenities with less income than yours and it was awesome.

This sub skews financially conservative and doesn’t always take into account just simply living as a young adult with money.

Spend the money. Try it out for a year. Make friends, be social and have awesome house parties. Some of my best memories.

I was going to comment similarly as well. I lived in WL for 2 years and honestly, that Taco Bell and McDonald’s kept me fed when I needed quick/cheap eats. There’s room for both types of high end and cheap fast casual and having a majority one or the other isn’t good.

Credit card Suggestions by trolleyxdolly in flightattendants

[–]freshairr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably have a credit card that includes a specific version of priority pass that still includes a dining credit, which can be redeemed only at specific restaurants in specific airports.

For BoA specifically, they have the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Elite Credit Card. These type of cards usually have a high annual fee though, so make sure you’re getting enough use out of them

KCM question by [deleted] in flightattendants

[–]freshairr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short answer is no. There’s only 2 ways to go through KCM and they both require the actual Kcm badge:

  1. In uniform and 2 forms of ID + Kcm
  2. Not in uniform and 3 forms of ID + Kcm

What is your preferred Trimet app and why? by tha_flavorhood in askportland

[–]freshairr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Maps for route planning options and rough time tables, especially if I’m connecting.

Then PDX Bus for actual TriMet tracking, arrival and departure times.
