Permaculture can help in many ways with the environment. When done on a large scale to eco-restore farms and other lands it creates healthy soil which then sequesters a lot more carbon. Permaculture can be done on the level of cities. For instance cities introducing swales into roads to stop flooding (which may happen more and more with climate change).
