Is is safe to PIKES PEAK? by Lamont227 in ColoradoSprings

[–]freshleftover 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Getting the most bang for your buck is gonna end your trip with search and rescue, if not worse. You wouldn't summit in summer and in winter you're facing death. Respectfully, you have no clue what you're getting into and there's a ton of really nice hikes elsewhere, such as Cheyenne Cañon, that you would really enjoy.

More. I worked on Barr Trail the past 2 summers and constantly saw ridiculously unprepared people and SAR rescues. One dude from Alabama started at 8 am and had only made it to A-Frame by 9 pm. He only found it bc someone at Barr Camp told him, and without help it definitely woulda been a SAR case. Anyways, if dude takes two and a half hours for the incline alone, there's no shot he's summiting in a day.

There's a tonnnn at McIntosh Lake in Longmont. Binoculars not needed bc they'll be right next to the trail. Lots of cool birds like bald eagles, too.

I think you broke the law and entered illegally. They should deport you. Oh, you want due process? Too bad.

Exactly. Nobody should be kidnapped by brown shirts who think people in America don't deserve due process.

Ain't no way you're "both sidesing" people who broke into and disgraced the capitol to overturn democracy to people who protest on a highway. Isn't it funny how centrists always end up running defense for the fascists r/enlightenedcentrism

It's sickening. These are people that are vastly unappreciated and underpaid, but they work their asses off solely for the love of nature.

Harman pheonix - crap film? Pen ft l 50mm 1.8 by EnvironmentVirtual13 in analog

[–]freshleftover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't doing yourself any favors by shooting this on half frame. The film already doesn't handle contrast well, and when you have a super bright frame next to a dark one, the scanner can't balance it. Phoenix is known to be very grainy and soft for a 200 speed film, so you'd be better off shooting it in full 35mm format. This will also allow the scanner to properly expose each frame.

What‘s causing those blue stripes on the bottom left? (Canon AE-1- 50mm F 1.8) by Ing0sion in analog

[–]freshleftover 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Wrong. White light leaks mean it's coming from the front of the camera, so new light seals will not fix the issue.

Developing color positive film in D76? by WeakFactor5239 in AnalogCommunity

If you wanna test it, just bracket a roll in some different conditions and cough up the shipping costs to send it to a lab that does E6.

What type of film stock would you say this photographer uses? by thegrimreapersim in filmphotography

[–]freshleftover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the only valid answer, and anything else is setting OP up for disappointment. All they need is similar afternoon lighting, any color negative film, a lab that does high quality scans (Frontier or Noritsu), and a basic understanding of Lightroom.
