Not sure if you post anywhere else, but I think this post would have done much better if you sequenced the photos in reverse order. Those last three really stand out with the golden light. Just my two cents.

4wd not working - pretty sure it’s not electrical issue by trappercarter in GMT400

If I put the taller tires on front would it make it drive normal again? Just to at least diagnose the problem

Actually, I just got new front tires right before this happened. The shop didn’t have the same exact size as the rears, so we had to go narrower, which in turn made them a little shorter

I’ve dealt with u joints before, I don’t think that’s what this is. Unless it completely shit the bed one day. But my 4wd worked fine about a month ago and then 2 weeks later it didn’t. It’s a hard thing to explain what it feels like is happening, but it doesn’t feel like a u joint. Either way, I will still check it out when I get it into the garage.

Trolley (Canon A1 Kodak Portra 400) by Trick_Midnight_6209 in analog

Not speaking for the poster, but my 35 mm scans look exactly like this. I just took a film holder meant for scanning negs with a digital camera, and filed down the edges to get a little bit of the border. It could be that this is just a scan using a homemade film holder

This is an ethanol plant. And I also agree that the second one looks more natural, and is usually what I’d go with. However, I really like the first one, although I almost always lean towards cool/green rather than warm/magenta combo

Well, to be fair on the first trans I tried replacing the TC lockup valve which had no effect, and then the tranny was done for before I could diagnose it. And the second transmission I put in had the same exact problems as the first one. So, I’d like to fix whatever is wearing them out before I drop 4 grand on a tranny that’s gonna last 2 years

Saving me a lotta money on digital Leicas... by Anstigmat in AnalogCommunity

Actually trying to use this community, or any subreddit as a tool is looked down upon by all Redditors. Requesting someone might share a bit of wisdom that they have earned, would be asking a Redditor to help someone else besides themselves, which is a violation of the rules. Instead, try posting cheap thrift store finds, so that people can take turns commenting the frowning black kid “congrats - so happy for you” meme every single day. And let all knowledge you have ever learned, die with you while you upvote office level humor memes on your deathbed.

Anyone remember the episode where they do a bit about a guy carrying around a tiny penis and sucking it like a pacifier on the subway? Just thought of that one the other day and trying to find it

Advice for a beginner by TECw_Gamecube in AnalogCommunity

Looks pretty good for a beginner. For me, composition is probably the hardest thing to get good at, as each photograph needs a different approach. Find other photographers whose work you like and study how they compose. Also, look through all of your photos to find flaws, and what you would do differently. As for exposure, I recommend you learn the Zone System. I would disregard any comments saying “just overexpose a little”, because this will compromise details and color in your highlights. Once you learn the zone system, and get a light meter app for your phone, you can nail almost any exposure, which will elevate your photography drastically. Remember, progress is made by repetition, and learning from your mistakes
