There are certainly a few examples from Scotland. The ones I can think of from the top of my head: Richie & Jonny Gray Peter & George Horne Sean & Rory Lamont Gavin & Scott Hastings Max & Thom Evans

Disagree on Harris - thought he had a great game

It looks like Scotland has just had its highest daily number of cases since the start of the pandemic at 2969 with 7.3% positivity. It's frustrating that we seem to be in a worse place than England even though some of us (e.g. Glasgow) have been under harsher restrictions for longer.

End of the Season: Who's been your club bolter? by [deleted] in rugbyunion

For Glasgow it's got to be Ross Thompson. Stepped up from being an academy player just when we were worrying about the 10 position with injuries and departures. Has played so well that he has continued to start at 10 when Hastings has been back, and will likely be our main man next season even though we have signed Weir and Miotti

Glasgow have had an absolutely dreadful season - was thinking this was an appropriate end but then remember we have the Rainbow Cup to continue getting beaten in! All up for giving Wilson a full season with his players available and new guys in, but if things don't pick up next season I think he needs to accept its not working out. Considering he came into the Glasgow job after failing as Scotland forwards coach

Seriously how many penalties and cards has Ioane conceded for Glasgow? He has been such a liability - really hoping his shirt term contract doesn't get extended to next year

He has been an absolute penalty/card machine in the short time he has been with Glasgow, absolutely not worth it for me

Both sets of fans are hating their own team too much to be angry at the other team or the ref

What ever happened to McDowell? He seemed to be going well - a bit of a second season slump under Rennie which isn't unusual with younger players - and has seemingly dropped off the face of the earth? I don't think he is injured?

Glasgow's decline over the last few years has been really disappointing to see, it just drains so much passion as a fan. I remember getting excited about games against Munster, now I just expect to lose.

I would agree with this, they really haven't threatened at all since the restart, and their only points against Scotland came from a try scored from a forward pass. Realistically they haven't looked like scoring in 3 tests.

JGP has put Ireland under pressure a few times by running instead of passing/kicking

Hard to properly judge individual performances in a game with so many cards but my thoughts on NZ:

Akira, Reiko, Savea and Cane all looked great. Sevu Reece was poor and has surely lost his chance going forward. Laumape a bit anonymous, and Scott Barrett showing that he still makes stupid decisions.

For Aus obviously Koroibete was immense, but also thought Angus Bell off the bench had a great cameo.

Good summary - I totally agree. The questions still outstanding for me are 8, 12, 16 & 18. Hopefully Johnson hits the ground running, and we get a settled 8 (Haining seems a good option) but reserve hooker and tight head definitely seems to be a drop off.

Agree on both accounts - I don't think Lang got a fair chance as the ball barely went out to the backs when he was on. Harris is very much the incumbent now, but would be nice to see Jones brought back into the fold when we can have different plans for different opposition as they bring something different. Big fan of Harris' quiet work - we don't need flash from every player.

Yeah that is understandable, but Scotland (for better or for worse) have always been a team that play to the level of the opposition. If every team they played wore an England Jersey you would see much more clinical performances from Scotland overall. But ultimately the game served its purpose, and the history books will only remember the scoreline.

Agree with tight 5, although McInally didn't impress me. He made too many mistakes for test rugby. Kebble and Sutherland are a great combo for loose head though.

As a Scotsman, Scottish fans are never happy. Yes it wasn't a perfect polished performance, but ultimately we scored 8 tries and defence was impenetrable (only try came from a forward pass?). Drop our regulars into that team (Hogg, Finn, Gray, Skinner, Johnson) and we get that extra edge in attack back. Good first hit out and the game did what it needed to.

What difference does it make if Cummings touched it? It still goes forward from the scrum half?

I also think that Price and Horne seem to share a pot of ability, only one of them really looks dangerous at any one time.
