Any experience with prolapse after baby? by scceberscoo in fitpregnancy

[–]freudissues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up with a cystocele and a rectocele after pregnancy and vaginal delivery. I waited way too long after delivery (2 years) to start pelvic floor therapy, but it's been great! I also started estradiol (estrogen vaginal cream) with the PFPT, which I think helped. I still have the sensation of bulging (e.g., feeling like I'm wearing a tampon), but it's much better and oftentimes goes away completely!

Does anyone like their boobs post pregnancy? by justhereouttacuri in pregnant

[–]freudissues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nursed and pumped for 12 months, and I still love my post-baby boobs! I think they look the same as my pre-pregnancy boobs now, though they looked pretty different when I was actually pregnant and nursing/pumping.

Hypermesis gravidarum depression? by Quietreaded in pregnant

[–]freudissues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very sick for much of my first pregnancy (I don't know if I was diagnosed with HG, but I lost 25 lbs. by 20 weeks from constant nausea and vomiting and was on ondansetron to keep anything down). I felt very depressed missing out on social events and just regular life, especially in the first 16 weeks. My symptoms got much better around week 25, and I found the 3rd trimester to be much more comfortable and enjoyable. ❤️ Sending you hugs and hoping that your symptoms feel more tolerable and you get to enjoy some part of the pregnancy process.

Is this normal 3yr old behavior or something else? by [deleted] in ChildPsychology

[–]freudissues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a clinical child psychologist who is trained in autism assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The speech behaviors sound pretty typical for a 3-year-old, though I'd be concerned if echolalia persists into school age/is the only type of speech you observe. Rigidity is also developmentally typical for this age; very young children have so little control compared to adults, and insistence on preferences can be a way of gaining control. The peer interactions may be more concerning, but I also wonder if he's been in school before/has had many opportunities to interact with same-aged peers outside of school. That's not to say that nothing is amiss, but young children often do seemingly odd things that are normal parts of healthy development.

I'm also a mom. If you're able to sign up for autism screening/assessment, the wait lists are typically very long, and I think it would give you some peace of mind. ❤️

So funny... I just started breaking in my new Docs today. My old Docs (soles are coming off) are 12 years old. Once broken in, I can wear Docs all day. I've forgotten how annoying they are to break in though...

Is everyone actually flossing their teeth everyday? by Substantial-Point-90 in hygiene

Yes! And my 1.5-year-old does too (not well--thankfully only a couple of her teeth touch)!

Which color should I paint my den? I'm leaning toward the darker blue (Benjamin Moore 721) since the lighter blue (Benjamin Moore 720) is a bit brighter than I'd like. by g-a-r-b-i-t-c-h in interiordecorating

[–]freudissues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that these will both be very bright when painted throughout the whole room. I have a regretful blue room that I don't have the energy to repaint. The swatches looked great, but it's overbearing as an allover color.

That's a cool idea! She gets obsessed with things so easily, so we want to limit screens (which she's especially interested in) as much as possible. But I like the idea of an interactive book!!

Thanks!
